Strange Request for a wedding?

Surely facial hair includes eyebrows. So everyone should shave them off and see how they like that!
Ohhhh, yes! The men should do that to the groom on his stag night. Strictly to please the bride, you understand.
Can you imagine the wedding photos? The groom, and all the men, sans eyebrows0 -
Agree to it provided that the bride shows you that she too is completely clean shaven...!0

Definitely a "Bridezilla", control freak and generally not a very nice person at heart.
Phone the bride
Ask why she is making this demand - is it a joke?
If it is not a joke, then just tell her that you will not be going, and that she need not hold any high hopes of getting a present.
It would be quite funny though if:
Nobody turned up on the day
or
Everybody turned up in false beards and moustaches (men and women), looking just like W G Grace.0 -
oh sometimes a thread comes along that cracks me up- this on one of them :rotfl:Raven. :grinheart:grinheart:grinheart0

Haha, love it!
That is a seriously strange request. If it were me, I'd either phone the bride and ask what the heck she's thinking, or (more likely for me!) RSVP declining the invite based on the silly request.:www: Saving for a deposit - Target £30k by 24/03/14 (30th Birthday!) :www:

Thank you for making me smile today! Lovely thread!
On a serious note, she probably doesn't actually mean those who have beards rather those who just don't shave very often. I'm always on at DH that he looks scruffy when he doesn't shave and I told him that he had better be clean shaven when I got to the church to marry him!Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
lol, i'm 99% sure its not a joke!! we have to go as its my bf's friends from school who is also his boss!! the groom is lovely but very well off so the bride ( i think) is quite into the whole 'status' of being married to him so i think she's got a bit carried away , he's not royalty or anything tho!!! she's not my sort of person at all really!! also p*ssed off coz the stag do is costing him about £450, which meant we couldn't go on holiday together this year. BF's parents then lent us some money so we could go away so it was ok in the end, but still not happy!! grr!!
my bf has no intention of getting rid of his stubbley stuff, he wouldn't be him if he got rid of it! i would LOVE all the women to turn up with beards, it would make my day!!
If/when we get married, i might send them their own special invitation with a silly request on it! oh the fun i could have with that!0 -

Asking your own (beardless) husband-to-be to have a shave on the day he gets married if a perfectly reasonable thing to do. Asking the same of all your guests is not
I suspect you're right though. If this isn't something cultural, nor a joke, then my suspicion is that the rather precious bride doesn't want scruffs with two-day old stubble in her precious photographs.
Quite frankly, I'd do anything to avoid the endless misery of the wedding party photocall so if I could grow some stubble I would!"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

I cannot believe that anyone would agree to going on a stag do costing £450 if it meant sacrificing their annual holiday, even if it was their boss!:eek::eek:0
