Received a PCN from ParkingEye

Hi, I received a PCN from ParkingEye today stating that I had overstayed my welcome at a car park by half an hour.

It has a picture of my car entering and leaving the car park and looks very official.

Reading through this forum I have seen that the general consensus is to ignore the notice but I am wary about a potential court notice/ baliff call out

Please can I have some advice about whether I should pay up/ appeal/ do nothing?

You case is no different to the many others featured on here. Just ignore.

What do you mean by "bailiff call-out"?
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

Sorry I meant them sending the bailiffs round and then having to pay their fees. Although I'm guessing that's unlikely?

afi, it all looks very official, doesn't it? That is because this company has got "looking official" down to a fine art!

Unfortunately for them, they are NOT official! They are just a bunch of cheap scammers trying to cash in on... you've guessed it, looking official!

There are only three "official" bodies that have the right to issue fines to drivers: Criminal courts, the Police, and Councils. That's it.

Not Parking Eye or any other of the myriad con artists that have jumped on this particular bandwagon.

So what they have sent you isn't a "fine". It is a begging letter requesting some of your hard-earned from people who have never done an honest day's work in their lives.

    Answer to your question:

    DO NOT APPEAL.
    DO NOT PAY
    IGNORE EVERYTHING THEY SEND YOU.

Follow those instructions and after they and their deadbeat mates (Roxburghe, and Graham White) have sent you some assorted garbage, they will get the message that you are NOT a mug and disappear out of your life for ever.

Oh, and don't be looking for any bailiffs to arrive... you will be bitterly disappointed. More chance of the Loch Ness Monster knocking on your door.

Impossible. A company who alleges money is owed can't just send the boys round!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Ignore Parking Pie and ignore the retailer (s) whom have got in bed with the scammers by allowing them to "mismanage" their car-park.

Ignore parking eye, I have three times and still get the occasional bit of junk mail from them.
The only time you need to either dispute or pay a ticket is if it has been issued by either: The Police / The Council / TfL

Hi, you cannot have the bailiffs call round UNLESS they have taken you to court and obtained a CCJ against you. You will obviously be made aware of this as you will receive Court papers. If you do, call up the county court listed and check that they are real papers. Then and only then, would I pay.
