hazzie123 I know exactly what you mean. I have an 0800 number call me up every day lunchtime and dinnertime and they deep breathe on the phone and then hang up! I've given up answering the phone when I see it's an 0800 number now. We also have a guy who comes around every couple of weeks selling fish door- to -door. He stinks and the fish look awful - and why would anyone buy fish from a man wandering the streets without the fish being refrigerated??

Hurrah for the lovely sun continuing, tho!

I have just returned from a very Old Style but not at all MoneySaving shopping spree On the one hand, curses upon Borough Market for being so very close to my office and on the other, God bless BM for selling such yummy food

Spent just under £19 and got:

1 pack of 5 rarebreed pork sausages, £2.90
4 packs of speciality sausages, special offer 4 for £10 (4 sausages per pack) in the following varieties: lamb & mint; beef & onion; lamb apple & rosemary; pork marmalade and whisky :drool:
2 little packs of wild boar pancetta, reduced to clear (today's date), was £2.10 per pack, now 99p per pack, so will put in freezer - should make 4 portions of spaghetti carbonara or similar
1 little block of absolutely stunning goats cheese, £3
6 free range eggs, 80p

This little haul of perishables complicates my plans for the evening slightly but gives me the perfect excuse to get out of the door on time I have to be in a West End theatre by 7:30 so will have to go home and put everything in the fridge first. Unfortunately the friend I was supposed to be going out with tonight has cancelled on me - she is disabled and having a day where she can hardly move so have texted another friend to see if he would like to come instead. It seems a shame to waste a free ticket!

Bargain, double :drool: :drool: from here. I absolutely love "speciality" sausages (these are one of the things I have no hesitation in spending a bit extra on)and the thought of pork marmalade and whisky sounds devine

well done to dlb DS for getting in at the school, Mine has been accepted too!!! Yipee :j
no doubt they'll be walking to school with eachother now!

Just got home from work, to find OH here, still not looking too clever, so Ive rung his work, and he's having the afternoon off.

His dad is in hospital at the mo, having an "op" on his knee. Fingers cross that goes well. Might have to go and help his mum over the week end to fetch him home!

Still no news from the head, ref the meeting with the boy's mum!

Right best be off and check my other mail!
