Good Morning All
Had a lovely evening in pizza hut, with DS & his friends! We played chinese whispers at the table, which passed the time away quickly.
OH woke me up this morning just after 1am, being sick! He had a bad headache last night, and think it was that which knocked him for six! I asked if he was ok, and said "make sure you clean your mess up please!" Very caring & understanding - I am! But I dont do sick!
DS never received a birthday card at all from his dad yesterday, not even a phone call! No surprises there, but its not fair, that DS suffers cos of my ex still being childish! He knows how to use the kids to wind me up!
Best jump in the shower & get ready for work
OH is taking the kids to school for me!
pen-pin hope you get this cleaning melarky sorted out! How frustrating this must be!
Take care

Hi Yall, bright and sunny here in the emids:j I've got a few minutes before I run the MATHLETTS up to school and then I'm scooting off to the coast:j I'm gonna have a nice long walk across the beach this afternoon and finish off with fish and chips later. How many miles will I need to walk to burn off a bag of chips? I'm planning on about 4 miles, will that be enough? LOL
Tomorrows not so good weather-wise so I'll pop into Skeg in the morning and get a few 'bits' and spend the afternoon shampooing carpets and upholstery.
Sunday is church am followed by lunch at my friends before heading back inland.
That's my weekend!:D
PP - Hope you enjoy your Meal al a Romantique;)
Miss MATHLETT is currently having straightner trouble in the mornings so I sympathise with Kyle et al. I'm sooooo glad I'm a slap-ed:rotfl:
Hugs to all, I may not be able to post much next week if I'm called in for church painting detail. A group of young offenders are coming in to paint some of it so I should blend right in LOL. I sharn't know if the paintings on or off until Sunday night.
Have a good day and weekend

Good morning everyone,
Hope the school info letters are arriving this morning, and my fingers are crossed for clairfun. ((HUGS)) to anyone who needs one x
Still not sleeping well, so if DS doesnt have football in the morning, i think i might try some tamazipan, last time they didnt work, but i know if i have to get up early they will work too well!!!
Have safely delivered children to school, and now have 4 here with me (2 LOs and 2 bigger ones) so not much time for me today.
Have lots of cleaning to do - ive made the beds and started the bathroom and toilets, but im going to have a coffee now, then finish them off. The kitchen also needs a good going over, so hope to find time to do that later.
Managed to get tickets to see Plymouth in the quater final of the FA cup, so DS was very happy yesterday - our normal seats were sold out, so we are in a part of the ground we've never been before, so hope they will be ok.
Right, better get moving,
Hope everyone has a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Morning all
Not much happening here... I'm awaiting the delivery of my first TescoOnline shop - should be here sometime early afternoon. Also awaiting a few pieces of news... Firstly whether my friend has managed to get us TakeThat tickets for Manchester in December :j :j and secondly my sister finds out today whether she got a place on her degree course at St Martins (Charing Cross) - she has already been accepted at St Martins (Camden?) and was really chuffed as she didn't think the interview went well and only 3 people from her foundation course even got an interview... She's still waiting for interviews for Goldsmiths and St Martins (Wimbledon - I think)
Flat still looks lovely as OH has hardly been at home :rotfl: plans for today are to sort the washing out that was in overnight, and do some uni work until this evening when I am off to my friends house for a girly night in.
Working 8-4.30 tomorrowBut off on sunday, but I really need to crack on with uni stuff... so have a good day everyone :grouphug: to all those in need (I have read the last few threads but my memory is rubbish!!)

HI! again everyone, have just scanned the thread as I am late for a day in college. Thanks for all the welcome messages-all very kind, sorry I can't remember everyones name yet but I will try over the next week or so (bad memory!)
Kyle GHD straighteners are fab, try shopping around as I eventually got mine from a hairdressers for £99 (in London) but others were selling them for anything up to £135!
Clairfun good luck today with your house, we had loads of problems on moving day and the completion and therefore move was delayed by 3 days, nightmare at the time but as soon as we were finally in our house we forgot the stressful stuff and got on with enjoying our house.
I'll catch up with you all when I get back from a day of learning/sleeping in the back of the class!

Morning all............lovely cold fresh morning, washing out on the line and washer reloaded for tonight, last load tomorrow of delicates which I can dry inside.
OH is now putting more pots etc into the car to transport to the allotment. After lunch we will go to Dunelm to have a look at curtains.......I have found a telephone number of someone who alters curtains, I am going to ring her and see what she says about altering the big curtains from the living room...depends on how much it is going to cost.
Cheese pie and baked tomato's for supper, I made a large mixed fruit crumble yesterday which will do us for another 2 days supper.
Been busy given notice to the electric and gas, we will have no gas in the flat heating is included in the rent.....I will miss the garden for drying clothes, there are two commercial washers and dryers in the laundry and plan afoot to have a second laundry put on the first floor so there are laundry facilities on both floors......
Just about to write to our landlord and give notice, we should be well out of here by the end of the month........Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

hello Everyone,
What a beautiful morning, crisp and clear, so nice to see blue sky and sunshine.
ShirleyPark, yes you really should consider using your photography talent - I'd love such good quality photos of my nearest and dearest!
PennyPincher, good luck looking for better cleaning help. I know from personal experience, how important it is to feel happy with paid help in the home - I had to sack someone when I realised how little they were doing - one day I found she left the house ten minutes after I did, when she should have been there (was paid for) a further 1.5 hours! Fortunately my health is better than it was and now I'm part-time I can get things done myself. But I know when you have to rely on paid help it's essential you're happy with it.
I'm going into town to pay my lodger's rent cheque into my offset account. She's okay on the whole, and the monthly cheque is worth the loss of privacy - my ground floor is semi-open plan so if she goes through to the kitchen I get interrupted in the sitting room - I have a through sitting room with arch to dining room then the kitchen is behind that. She has the two upstairs rooms (chalet bungalow).
She's a bit gabby, and as I think she's a bit lonely I haven't wanted to choke her off, but on work days it has felt a bit like coming home to give listening ear support to yet another client!! Just when I need to recover and switch off. Now that she's been here a month, I'm burying my head in a book a bit more, in the hope she realises I'm not always available. I'll also need to explain to her why I sometimes need quiet time. She's clean and tidy in the kitchen and bathroom, which is an absolute blessing, and I'm sure as time goes on she - and I - will work out the boundaries a bit better.
My previous lodger was more on the same wavelength, and became a good friend, and we're meeting up in April for a week in a cottage with some other people - west coast of Scotland this time!
This weekend will be spent getting to grips with paperwork - I now have a two drawer filing cabinet and suspension files, so I hope to report before too long that the domestic paper mountain is no more.
Enjoy your day - hugs to poorlies and anyone needing comfort.
GQ xIf you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Morning :hello:
Weather is gorgeous here today. I hope it lasts into the weekend, rather than doing "the usual" and being lovely when I am stuck at work, but horrible when I have to go to the market
Last night I - eventually - succeeded in having a quiet night in. I had hoped to be home by six, but as I was walking up the street from the office I ran into a much loved and missed former colleague who was on her way to a drinks appointment with somebody we both used to work with, so I joined them. I was reasonably well-behaved, I only had 2 (large) glasses of wine and then went home, but I did also end up having a Chinese takeaway
I proceeded to spend the rest of the evening vegetating on the sofaIt got to 11pm and I was just about to go to bed when it suddenly occurred to me that it was March already - it sort of crept up on me as Feb is so short! - and I had to fill in an application form which needs to be in by Monday  so I filled that in, and while I remembered, I also wrote out cheques for a couple of my girlfriends who I owed for travel and theatre bookings for the short trip to Paris we're planning later in the Spring. So I did get something done in the end!
Tonight I've got press tickets (i.e. freebies) for another opera which I'm looking forward to reviewing, and should be seeing two friends who I haven't been out with properly in a long time.
Penny-Pincher!! - sorry to hear your cleaner saga is continuing  I hope it is sorted soon.
clairefun - fingers crossed for exchange today so you're in the mood to celebrate
kyle - sorry about your bad hair dayI was meant to be getting mine cut and coloured tomorrow, and had booked an appointment at the salon I used to go to before I moved (a 25 minute train ride away) because I love my stylist there, but got a call earlier in the week to say my stylist had broken her foot and would be off work for a while, and would then be going straight onto maternity leave  so my hair is going to remain neglected for the time being! I might see if I can at least colour it at home, as I don't like having grey roots (I've had bits of grey since age 20). Re straighteners - I have GHDs, I got them online at (I think) www.lookfantastic.com which was cheaper than anywhere else at the time. I don't use them very often but they are fab when I do!
Looking forward to the weekend. Gosh I hope my wally trolley arrives today so I can go mad at the market tomorrow (they say the usual is 5 working days after payment, which would be... today!)
See you all later
Love Rzl xx :wave:Operation Get in Shape
