another day at the computer. I am going to disconnect the broadband though. no matter how good I try to be, I find myself surfing when I should be working.

waiting for a parcel. not a very money saving one (Next) but treating myself. :)
after that will have to go shopping. went to visit a friend rather than going yesteday :)

PP looked at that website - what does the charge £50 cover...is that per week?

  • Good morning all. It's friday - woohooo :) Finally caught up on yesterday's thread. I'm completely out of sync having spent 3 days on a training course, I keep thinking it's tuesday today.

Thankyou for all the lovely comments about my photography. One day I'll look into how I can actually make some money from it, but then only worry is I'll then stop enjoying it. Heard back from my sister that 2 of the photos are perfect for the birth announcement cards that she wants to make, so result, that's why she wanted me to take them in the first place. I usually print photos out for cards (have some ready folded photo card paper that I got cheap), and we have lots of photos up in the house, the BF is a bit of a photographer as well, so there's not a shortage of pictures to put on the walls.

Pen-Pin I really hope you get your cleaner sorted out soon. My mother went through about 4 different cleaners before she found one that she liked.

I hope everyone who was waiting on news about secondary schools got the news they wanted, and those of you who haven't heard yet hope the postman brings good news today.

Belated Happy Birthdays to Hazie123 and Master Crazychik.

Clairefun - hope you managed to exchange on your house.

snoozer - I hope you feel better soon, I used to suffer a lot with work stress and it's not nice.

CCStar - glad you weren't hurt and hope you don't stay jittery for too long, but that much have been a huge shock, and fingers crossed on the house buyer

NHSSlave - welcome to MSE and the OS board

madmum33 - that photo is soooo cute.

catzine - go get your camera out, if anything it's a cheap way of passing the time.

    Morning everyone

Hugs to those who couldn't sleep and fingers crossed for clairefun!

Been at work since 5.30am - yawn! Quite chilly in here today, but the boss has probably switched the heating off again.

My muscles are starting to feel the kick boxing now, but you know what they say - no pain no gain!! One of my colleagues asked if I'd lost weight yesterday so obviously those pounds I've lost are now starting to show:j

I'm so excited - I'm flat hunting this afternoon and tomorrow. There are some really nice ones, so maybe I'm about to find my new home!!! :T

Been dealt a bit of a blow - I've got to work on Sunday when I was hoping for the weekend off, but never mind, I'll just take a different weekend off. Doesn't really bother me.

    Hope everyone's ok

    Morning everyone

Kyle - Don't know if this helps or not but I use these hair straighteners and think they are fab. Have tried my friends GHD's and these are comparable. Ebay seem to do them for about £20.

Had a fab night out on Wednesday with workmates. Lovely food and good chat.

Yesterday was a bit hectic. Went for the weekly shop in the morning then had to pick my sister up at work as she had no car. We were nearly at the garage to get her car when she realised she had no cheque book or money so about turn and home again to get that :D

Not once but twice yesterday I put washing in the machine and then set it at spin instead of wash :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Can I blame my age at 27

This morning I have another load of washing in. This time the clothes are definately being washed ;) Have got the kitchen to clean and tidy as well.

Have a cheque to pay in at the bank and also need to go to the Post Office.

Take That tickets go on sale at 9am and I am desperate to get some so keep your fingers crossed for me :T

    Off for a browse
  • :hello: Morning everyone!

It's another gorgeous sunny day - had all my washing out yesterday and it smellt so nice when I brought it in, mmmm.

CLAIREFUN Am keeping everything crossed for you! Let us know how it goes....
MADMUM33 Your pic is gorgeous - makes me feel broody again!
SKYSTARKeeping everything crossed for you, too - hope you get them!
SHIRLEYPARKYour photos are stunning! Wow! I have a friend who takes amazing photos and he is registered with an agency and submits his best photos to them and when the photos get used he gets paid all the commission. He does quite well out of it and only then needs to work part-time in his 'daytime' job.

Well, it was going to be a very busy day for me, but DS was sick straight after his breakfast so I'm not sending him to nursery which means my busy day is going to be a quiet day! Just hoping he hasn't got a bug that is doing the rounds here!
Am going to have a quiet day catching up on bits of housework instead and will prepare the mealplans for next week.

Hope you all have a good day.

Morning everyone, another lovely day here in Stoke-on-Trent - frosty but beautiful clear blue sky. Three shop shop today - Lidl for breadflour and their special gardening offers, Netto for lentils & barley so I can have a go at chicken soup made from the bones, and Aldi for the normal shop.

Once that lot's done, carry on with my de-cluttering quest. Sorted out loads yesterday, so venturing upstairs to see what rubbish (Ebay items) I can find.

    Have a good day all

clairefun - fingers crossed for your exhange today.
Pen Penguin - shiners are good in the cool stakes at school. All the girls will love him today!
Pen Pincher - Good luck with the cleaning company. I think they've provided an appauling service & you do deserve all your money back.

Well this is early for me, although I am still tucked up in bed with the laptop propped on OH's pillow (he's already gone to work I hasten to add :rotfl:). Today is my last work day before holidays, so I've already sent out the "I'm on holiday next week" email to all my colleagues and staff.

Plans for the day are do some work , go for a haircut and pack. I think I need to do a couple of loads of washing too. I asked OH what he wanted for dinner & the answer was "meat". Thanks then! There's some pork chops in the freezer, so they will do.

Hope you all have a lovely Friday, roll on the weekend!

Morning all. It's lovely and sunny here in Surrey, but with a light frost on the ground (pretty).
I am well chuffed as I have lost 2 lbs this week :j (Just another 11 to go.. :o )

I have a fairly quiet morning ahead (I went mad cleaning yesterday, so housework is all done), then off to London for the One Life Live show - need a career... actually I need a job :rotfl:
I've got an interview on Monday, so that should be good.

    Have a great day y'all :T
