    BPC (Bahamas petroleum)

In terms of risk i'd say it is ultra high risk/reward.

Mostly depends on the government there allowing them to drill.

Thats a bet not an investment really, the payout i'd expect is 1000% on being allowed to drill and possibly another 1000% on top of that if they hit a good payload.

    Or you lose 100%.

You can't rush a good share tip.

    Only just noticed the thread!

Anyway, if you want tips then the thread should be titled: "Next share you will buy?" :)

I have added to CNR here but unless it adds alot of volume and price then its not looking brilliant, I should continue to view it as lame till it proves otherwise. Apparently its weak, as bad as it was last year.
Nobody likes gold and if you mine it then market considers it even worse.
A miner is a bet on investment and higher price basically I think thats it

I sold POG at tiny profit as its also failed to bounce with any confidence

Been cheap forever it seems. I like the idea VED might buy it but I think it unlikely. Hopefully they discover an asset as good as India proved, do they retain the expertise ?

Amazing how far Anglo Asian mining has fallen, halved!

Since Im looking for gold to form a possible double bottom at 1352 I added MML today

Should be a safe bet anyway as they mine at 260/oz cost, we aint going that low :)

I bought BP for my wife's high yield portfolio last week, and a few bits and bats in her ISA, but that's about it lately.

I'm watching coop bonds and prefs to see if there are any bargains. Yes, total loss is a serious risk!

You probably bought mine - I gave up on them after the announcement on price fixing, though it's gone up a bit since.

The Macondo compo just goes on and on, I'd had them since the well blew up, and threw in the towel 20%+ down. The BP claim industry in Louisiana is apparently like the PPI and whiplash fest here. Firms can claim if their revenues are down in the two years after the disaster - never mind that they have had a recession, which BP is now being charged for:(

My last actual share purchase apart from ITs was to add to Rexam recently, which has done well for me.

For a blow up like that, 3 years is quick. The compo is a bit of a problem but it could still be court settled, despite threats of confiscation and all sorts BP has faired not terribly for a company which messed up so bad.

I expect they'll moderate some of the bs, BP is bigger in USA then UK so far as I know; they'll not shoot their own foot surely
    (Russia is my worry really)

I want 500 for BP holding, its still cheap even then. I may sell depending how close we are to ex div by then.
If we go lower, I can buy a bit still. I had REX in 2009/10, I should have kept it

I added AAZ, at 3pe, even if it went to 10pe its still good?
