How often do you wash your dressing gown?

If oh goes away I can only sleep wearing one of his dirty shirts for the familiar smell.
When DS2 was a newborn in PICU I could only sleep snuggled up to his baby blanket xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
I'm surprised everyone has so much time to do the washing. I manage to do my 'staples' weekly, but my bathrobe takes up a whole load (it's big and fluffy) so only gets done on a really blowy day where things dry quickly.0

No need for an extra in summer since it's thin and dries on the line quickly.
I've not got room for another fleecy one and the shop I bought my last one from shut, so unless I want to pay a silly amount of money I can't buy another to my liking at the moment.
I have a big jumper I wear instead while it's drying, but it hasn't got pockets like my dressing gown as I like to have keys and mobile on my person at all times.
I have 2 or 3 of every thing else but with dressing gowns it hasn't worked out.0 -
I'm another that loves chilling in the DG, I have several on rotation and wash them whenever I put a load in.
My ex had a habit of wandering round naked, the extra dressing gowns came in handy (for my mental health at least) when he sat on my sofa

Well, for me its easier, as i am self rmployed with a micro business that doesn't take up too much time and tbh i find laundary one of the easiest jobs to fit in, though i will admit to my stuff sometimes staying on the line for a couple of days

Mine is huge also, and takes up the machine too. It feels more like a fluffy towel. But I just do it on a weekend day, and hang it up on the door to dry. If I feel chilly whilst it's drying, I put a jumper on instead. It usually dries in 24 hours.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
After reading this thread shamefully retreats to the bedroom to find dressing gowns and put them in the wash

Mine is so big it would fill the whole washing machine and take a week to dry so it only gets washed when the situation is dire. I'm approaching that point.

We can't really afford to have the washing machine on a lot so unless things smell I can't see the harm in wearing them again. I draw the line at pants.
