  • And just another thought- have you checked up on the agency and make sure there legit? May sound stupid but i'm sure it happens.

    Thanks :)

Yes, the agency is a huge national one with branches all over!

I am going to stick to my plan, call the agency in the morning and make them aware, then log it officially with the police.

When you speak to them I wouldn't make a definite accusation, but let them know all the circumstances and see where it leads.

I have just read this thread and agree this is what I would do.

Don't forget when you look on Ebay choose the distance nearest first option as she obviously doesn't live too far away!

Oh and don't forget Facebook has lots of local selling pages too.

Popped by to see if you`d found any of the missing items, obviously not.

I still can`t believe she `may` have taken all that stuff. Its really shocking.

£1800 plus is truly shocking and the thief surely can't expect to keep that up for long so would be off soon, so police asap I think

On a lighter note I lost a £50 John Lewis voucher just after Christmas and felt so sick after searching the house for the white envelope convinced myself I had binned it - then saw it the next day propped up on the mantlepiece out of the envelope! I wish the same could happen for you.

It's good to search everywhere as it is common for thieves to just move stuff to start with, without taking off the premesis, to see if the item is missed
You never know how far-reaching something good, that you may do or say today, may affect the lives of others tomorrow

I keep coming back and looking for an update on here, I myself am a cleaner and i myself WOULD NEVER DREAM of doing anything like this, all my clients are recomendations and the newest one of mine is 2 years .
I never even make myself a drink, if the clients not there i always have a drink that i take with me.
I am DISGUSTED, it gives all honest cleaners a bad name!

I would honestly, genuinely want anyone who was a longstanding part of my life to feel able to make themselves a drink.

I would love a cleaner, cannot justify expense atm but will one day. I would want him or her to feel respected and valued, being able to fix themselves a drink would be part of this.

One bad cleaner doesn't give You all a bad name, i would hope the majority of people were honest.

Years ago, a lady with a cleaning job wrote into a magazine about an incident.

When she gets to work, the lady of the house tended to leave her a little note of additional things to look at, etc. And the cleaning lady would write notes at the bottom of that note, listing things she needed for next week.

One week, she noticed that some screws needed tightening, so she added "Screwdriver" at the bottom of the list. The next week, the things she requested were in the usual place, including one miniature bottle of orange juice, and one miniature bottle of vodka.

    :D
