Pimento - thanks for the very helpful advice. I don't have to justify why I have a cleaner ...

    No, you don't. I wasn't saying that you shouldn't have a cleaner, I was only saying that I wouldn't.

I would love to have a cleaner - but we wouldnt or dh would trust anyone. We bought a cleaning experience from groupon a while back and she came to clean whilst i was there. But to be honest she said she would be alone - when she arrived she came with a guy. i am assuming he was her b/f or something. He spelt the whole time in the kitchen chatting on his mobile. She was a good graftor and did a good job (she didnt clean what she said she would mind) I found it all awkward as she had to clean around me and my son I had to put son in high chair the whole time they were here. I certainly didnt feel as if i could trust them home alone - she did in fact leave her cardi behind but as it was a cheap one i binned it. Havent heard from her since.

Oh dear...another thing to add to the list. I can't find the digital camera now!! Will get hubby to have a proper look for that when he gets home, I'm exhausted with all this looking.

Another weird thing. A while ago I found the piece of paper with all of her details on - name/address/phone no and put it on my desk to file it. Now that has gone too! hmm.
The agency should give me that though if I wanted it.

I had a quick look on ebay for the john lewis vouchers, there are tons! I can't remember the exact denomination so not sure that's much use..but thank you.

    :)

OP, what area do you live in? The ones on gumtree all have someones name beside them and a contact number.

    :)

Have you searched by distance closest to you in current listings and in advanced searches you can check completed listings distance closest to you

Bear in mind they may have split up the denominations so look for anything local and a user name you may recognise ;)
  • Check Preloved too.
  • And might be a stupid question but have you checked that none of your cards are missing??? I don't carry all around with me (leave some in my desk drawer) and I wouldn't notice until I needed it if it had been taken.
I don't know if you do the same.

    Debt-free and Proud!
As a cleaner myself i`m absolutely disgusted :-0
I have a key to my ladies house and clean while she is at work, i wouldnt dream of touching anything!! I even feel bad having a drink at times (she always leaves a note saying help yourself!).

I wouldnt ask her yet incase she runs, try and get her contact details first so you then have her address etc.
I think then you should make a formal visit to the police and definately contact the agency.

She should be ashamed of herself, i`m really shocked she has taken from you!
