  • Calling an Agent to check your balance kinda defeats the purpose, no phone call unless it's 999 is free from a mobile and therefore at the current easymobile prices, it'd cost 6p to check my balance and how accurate is it if you have to call to check as the call cost's money too. EasyMobile NEEDs to implement a balance checking method, I love o2 Genie's pay as you go method that send's you a system text message after every text and call reminding you of the balance.

do easymobile charge for giving PAC code back if I wish to migrate from easymobile to any other provider in the future?

I cannot find about this anywhere in t&c or in prices!

Secondly, you use t-mobile network, does it means I cannot migrate from t-mobile or to t-mobile in future?
All I ask is the chance to prove that money can't make me happy.

That's hardly competitive, the Tesco rate that is 6p a minute and 2p texts are brilliant - O2 genie free text is pretty cool but calls cost a fortune and must top up a tenner a month, I am pretty happy on EasyMobile now, bills are substantially lower than when I was on 3 contract cause even if I didn't use the phone I was gonna get charged the Line Rental! If EasyMobile fixed the silly lack of a balance check and perhaps send a nicer looking letter that is packaged with the Sim I'd be happier.

I was just looking at my EBill and it's pretty cool, it's exactlly 0.001 pence a second so that is where they deduced the 6p a minute from, EasyMobile also charges at per second so if my call was 10 seconds then they don't charge me the minute as other networks have done. COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

As Easy Mobile monitor this forum, you will know that people here want to save at any opportunity - do you have a non 0845 number ie. just a standard geographical number so those of us with call packages can call you for nought.

It good to see a company being proactive and monitoring a forum such as this - WELL DONE! - as a result I'm planning to move 4 phones to you.
  • We are dedicated to customer service and monitoring forums is a good way to get feed back for the public and the issue of the balance check is being addressed at the moment. We do send out an email and a SMS when your account reaches £10, £5 and £0 to help you monitor your balance.

The only number we have for the call center is the 0845 one but that is still only charged at 6p per minute from an easyMobile number, the same as a local call.

We don't charge for giving out a PAC code once signed up with us all you need to do is email us and request one it is issued within 48 hours.

0845/0870 numbers transfer to a geographical number (those beginning 01 or 02) or a number of geographical numbers.

In fact, us calling you via your 0845 actually costs us more money than ringing a geographical AND it costs you money. Generally, when we ring an 0845 number you pay a few pence per minute as well as us (we pay 4ppm daytime from BT landline).

It would be cheaper for you if you provided a geographical number. If we rung a geographical number then it doesn't cost you anything extra per minute for receiving the call its just like you receiving an incoming call at home - it's free (except line rental charges).

Therefore, it would save you money in the long-run to advertise your geographical number instead and you therefore wont need your 0845 and you wouldn't pay a penny for us calling you.

is the 6p/min available for all calls to 0800, 0845, 0870 etc numbers?
what about the simply-fone access number, 07744.... is that also 6p?

I must thank Amazingkitkat for bringing easymobile to my attention. I signed up on Bank Holiday Monday, got my sim card on the Wednesday and I am extremely happy so far. I have made some amazing savings on my call charges. I have not found it inconvenient to be unable to find out my balance from my phone as I am on the computer everyday anyway so check then, but to be honest the charges are so good I know that my calls are not costing me a fortune so no need to check constantly. I have been so impressed I have also signed up my son and daughter and recommended easymobile to my friends. I hope (please pretty please) that they keep their costs as they are now, but even if they dont they are still cheaper than my former provider Virgin, especially when ringing other networks, it used to cost me 35p/min now it is only 6p/min. Brilliant :T :T

PS Spent the day climbing Helvellyn in the Lake District and still managed to get a signal!!!
