I have recently bought a Auriol Weather Station Model Z31092
which is working to specification except for setting the local time
to GMT +1Hr. If i set to the correct time as soon as it picks up the
signal from the atomic clock signal from Germany it adds 1hour
to the correct UK time i set. Any help would be appreciated
This is the first thread iv'e ever posted so apologies for any
protocol errors

Googling it seems to suggest that this manual is the same for it, albeit a different model. Load it up, scroll down to about page 13 and see if you can follow the instructions for ZONE, to change the time zone/location. If not find instructions to change the clock to manual (that way it wont update it)0 -
Thanks I'll give it a try and let you know how it goes0

Tried the Ventus link you suggested afraid the clock setting is not
compatible to the Auriol. My only thought is to place the unit in such a position that it does not receive the clock signal.Whether
this will work though is in the lap of the Gods as the unit regularly searches on the hour. Thanks for your interest in my problem.0 -
make sure that your "Home Time World (zone)Time" is set correctly. If your in the wrong zone the time doesnt work correctly.
Its about 12 pages down on the manual0 -
My manual only states that the setting on the clock is set to GMT +1hr
and to set it to local time the problem seems to have arisen that i set it to GMT as at the date i bought which was prior to the clocks going forward. When the hour was added I reset it to local time but as soon as it picked up the signal from the atomic clock in Franfurt it reset 1hr
ahead of local time in the UK. It's impossible to to contact any help line as none are listed and after sales service from Lidl seems non-existent . I'm fast approaching returning it, but thanks for your interest. I did try the setting as suggested in your post without success.0 -
We returned the first one we bought from Lidl because of the time setting anomaly and got our money back. However, having bought a more expensive weather station which we were not happy with we bought a second one from Lidl. Guess what? Same problem with reverting to GMT +1. Have emailed Lidl and await their response.0

At last tilly 63 a light at the end of the tunnel. I have this suspicion that the product is for mainland Europe otherwise a setting for the UK
link to the atomic clock would would be available in the set up menu.
This facility i believe is on more expensive stations. With your experience is visit to Lidl tomorrow I think
I'll be interested in what response you get from them and thank you for your thread0 -
Lidl phoned me yesterday in response to my question on the clock with no explanation to my query just to tell me to return the weather station and get a refund I asked for a reason why no solution but she was unable to tell me anything other than return it. Whether this is an admission that the the station should never have been sold in the UK draw your own conclusion.0

I'm not convinced that this is the case and that you are simply not setting the time zone correctly.
I have a radio controlled clock that receives it's signal from the German transmitter DCF77 and this works fine in the UK when set correctly. You are simply changing the displayed time and not setting the time zone.
Have you tried removing the batteries and starting from scratch?
Do the instructions not tell you how to set the time zone? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
The batteries have been out so many times I've lost count. The instructions are confusing inasmuch that they tell you to set to your time zone, and even on the packing it states manual time setting, but as soon as it picks up the Frankfurt clock it changes to CEST on the display.
TILLY63 earlier thread has had the same problem. I need someone who has the same model to answer this.Poor product backup from LIDL0
