How did you decide on a third Child?

We didn't decide on a 3rd one, we weren't even trying..in fact, I had had the contraceptive injection, was breast feeding and my normal cycle had not re started after middle son was born...he was a determined little begger even back at egg stage!
It was a hell of a shock to discover I was pregnant with our 3rd son! Especially as we had struggled previously to get pregnant (endometriosis). Such a shock that I went into a major depression for the first 5 months of pregnancy but I could not terminate, it's not in my nature (not that I am against abortion but it wasn't for me at that time), although we did think about it.
To guard against any further pregnancies however, I was sterilised and a year after that, had a hysterectomy (although the hysterectomy was NOT for contraceptive measures), so no more contraceptive failures were possible.
I wouldn't be without youngest son now though......We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
