Don't fall for iForce Maxx HCG free trial

Hello.
I too have been sucked in, and feel incredibly stupid and worried. I was sleepy, not really concentrating, and feeling very disillusioned with diets and my weight. The 'free trial' seemed like a great idea...until I got the confirmation email with the (very) small print of £90 automatic charge after the 14 day trial had ended.
After reading that I googled the company, and came across this forum. On the advice of this website, I rang the company straight away as I couldn't bear to wait til Monday. The lady I spoke to seemed pleasant, and told me I could not cancel as I had not tried the product. After telling her repeatedly that I did not care about the products, will not be using the products, and will be calling in a few days anyway to cancel, she agreed to cancel my autopayments for both Iforce Maxx and Purify, and said a confirmation eamil would be sent.
I was pleased when I recieved the emails about two hours later, and thought nothing more of it. Yesterday (the tuesday) I recieved an email informing me my 30 day iforce maxx had been dispatched. I was very confused, as a) I had cancelled, b) no money had been taken from my account (it had reached the student overdraft limit) and c) it was only day 5 of my 'trial' period d) when I rang up, they too seemed confused about the email, and assured me both had been cancelled.
To be on the safe side, I have cancelled my card today, although I am unsure of what this will do...
I'm asking here, for people who have cancelled and recieved the email, did they take anymore money? Or was the email it?
I'm also asking, does cancelling your card (not the account) stop any future payments?
I would appriciate any help I can get with this, thank you.0 -
I too fell for this but I have just called them on the 0808 number to cancel. I spoke to a lovely chap called Ryan who said he would cancel any future orders straight away and email me to confirm. I have had a cancellation email as promised so I am really happy.
The full number is 0808 189 1278 and it's a free call from a landline. I hope everyone who got caught by this have the same easy ending as i did :j
Anyway, I had already phoned my bank and told them what had happened with this company and they immediately put a stop on my card and put on record the company name for future reference. Then, in spite of getting confirmation e-mails from the company of my 'Account' being cancelled, I paid off the outstanding amount on my credit card, phoned my bank (as they recommended) and cancelled the card altogether. I should get my new card within about five days.
I have been back onto the site of this company to try and find where it is mentioned about getting further supplies every month and eventually found it tucked away at the bottom right of the web page in teeny tiny print called 'Terms'! I had difficulty seeing it and in fact had to put on my strongest reading glasses to find it at all! They should put stuff like this in full view where it can't be missed, but then, they wouldn't get any customers at all for their stuff would they? I guess it's true that American Companies are completely unscrupulous!
(By the way, I received the 'Total Cleanse' and it is merely 30 tablets of a Vitamin B compilation! For the £4.99 postage I paid, I could get around 180 of the same kind of thing from any dietary supplements company! I haven't even received the iForce Maxx and probably won't now!)0 -
I to have been sucked in by this free trial but by total cleanse as well.
Didnt realise until yesterday a second lot of supplies turn up two weeks after the first and £89 and £99 lighter in my bank account any ideas how i can cancel and get a refund much help needed.
I foolishly did that too after a friend recommended this to me i just rang the helpline 08081891270 was on hold for about 7ish minutes and that was around 10am they asked me for my number and then verified my address and when i said i wished to cancel at first they got a little annoyed and asked "do you not with to get to your goal of losing weight" to which i answered i had (even though its done nothing for me) then they said congratulations and asked if i wanted to cancel both which obviously i did and then you should get emails after..... I felt sick when i saw my bank statement hopefully you manage the same0 -
It looks like Ryan may be one of the few people that work there as alot of people seem to get Ryan, unless of course all of the men are called 'Ryan'.
He would't speak to me without the account holder being present anyway. I have had her move her money into her other account so no more money can be taken and their is no overdraft available so they can't take anymore than is in the account and right now it's empty.
Will get her to speak to the bank next to make sure they don't authorise any payments, just incase she puts any back in this account.

Phoned again this afternoon......Ryan again.....and he remembered me from this morning.
He said their would be no problem with cancelling and that emails would be sent out by the end of the day confirming.
He didn't sound overly convincing. She's moved all monies to her other account and made notes of direct debits etc and will phone the bank shortly.0 -
I too have fallen for this and ordered product trial on Friday. Panicked and now really worried about hidden extra payments that I never saw until transaction online was complete. Spent all weekend worrying and called their number this morning but they are not taking calls. Then found this forum and read all feeds and so rang my bank and explained to lovely lady who cancelled my card and told me to keep an eye on if anything comes out and if so to ring back to get their fraud people to get involved. I'm not sure if this will stop them and dread having to explain this now to my husband! This is the best weight loss program ever shear worry!!!!!Please can anyone advise me if this is the correct action I've taken as I'm desperately worried and cannot afford £89 a month!0

You've done the right thing. Continue to try ringing them though to tell them what you've done. If you get through, plead poverty, etc. etc.; make them realise it's not going to do them any good pursuing you. They can't get blood out of a stone! Do ask them to send you an e-mail confirming they will not send you any more supplies. Failing that, you should have received an e-mail from them confirming your order. Send a reply to that. You can explain all the above and ask them to send the confirmation by return.0 -
I have now spent at least two hours trying to contact these people on two different numbers, I've sent two emails and had no response. Please advise what more I can do? I have cancelled card and don't know if thus is enough and why have they made it impossible to cancel in 14 days:mad:0

Because they're crooks, that's why! They're an American company and anything goes with them as far as business is concerned. All I can say is if you've e-mailed them and kept the e-mails, cancelled your card, etc., you have done all you can. If you have received the goods and paid for those, they won't be able to take any more money from you. They only have your address, so the only thing they can do is to threaten to sue you. Frankly, I don't think they will even do that. They'll know they won't have a leg to stand on!
The only phone numbers and e-mail addresses I had for them are as follows:
0808 189 9650- between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM GMT, Monday through Friday
and also:
0808 189 9651 - Customer Services
Their e-mail address is:
help@hcgplatinum.com
Website:
www.purifynaturally.com
If these are the phone numbers and addresses you've used, then you've done all you can. Their practices just won't stand up in this country. Stop worrying.

I've been scammed as well!! Problem is that I am from South Africa and ordered something completely different than what they want to send me now! Everything on the website seems South African, with Tollfree numbers. Now those numbers do not work. The e-mail I received to say that my shipment of IForce Maxx (which I didn't order ) is on their way. The number on the e-mail doesn't work either.
Is there any other way of getting hold of the *&%$??
Please someone help me!0
