Thank you for posting this, HSW. It is very interesting to see everyone;s views on UKIP, as I was considering more 'left field' options for the next election as a protest against the current status quo. If not UKIP, who else is there outside of the main 3 that is worthy of support?Emergency savings: 4600

Taking into account the deficit, the current state of the world economy and the urgent need for someone to complete this years London Marathon on a spacehopper, these lot seem to be the obvious choice:Nothing is foolproof, as fools are so ingenious!

Here is the list of skilled occupation where UK government have acknowledged that there is a shortage.

Many are in the areas of Electrical Power Generation, the electricity transmission and distribution. There are certainly not enough skilled people available in this area so here migration will help.
Thanks for posting the list, it seems to have increased from the last time I looked at it.
Maybe the government would like to concentrate the HEFCE funding to degrees based on the occupation shortage list (oh wait, that would require them to talk to each other).0 -

This is exactly what they should be doing. My own experience (which I'm sure is not indicative of the entire country) leads me to believe that there isn't a jobs shortage but a skills shortage.0 -

Just wanted to make sure I got in the "Make Bradford Bonkers" poster, which people clearly took to heart by voting in George Galloway.
The loony party never stood a chance..........:)Nothing is foolproof, as fools are so ingenious!

Not many members in this forum join UKIP though.
What I know for sure is that we all join MSE - Money saving expert......
So my conclusion.
MSE is more popular than UKIP lol ...
Could anyone proves it otherwise ??? :rotfl:0 -

If only the government was as concerned about saving money as people on this site... I'd definitely vote for a party which put in place feasible policies to save money. When civil servants put things on expenses nobody cares how much it costs.0
