I have joined the UKIP party

That is an emotive decision rather than a thought out, considered decision. Its a bit like the 50p tax rate - it has been proven NOT TO WORK.
You can either have useless policies which don't work and don't solve any problems or you can have pragmatic policies which solve problems.
Edit: Just want to add, while the UKIP offers a great deal of sage words on the EU and its policies, this whole notion that "British is best" by virtue of being British is just simply not true. We live in a global work place and compete globally. The sooner people get this stupid idea out of their heads, the better.
Have to agree with you about the sage words, and I know in theory they probably would !!!! things up as much as anyone else.
But where I have a problem, and going on recent media reports millions of voters feel the same way, there is just is not a political party that is speaking for me. Politicians have forgotten that they are only the mouthpiece of their constituents, UKIP sometimes use the right language and tone, and for now that is enough for me.
Like I said in the opening post, the UK is screaming for a new party, just nothing like the one the two Davids set up:)0 -

I suggest you walk into ANY school in any village/town/city in the UK at all age groups and see what many in the world would only dream off.
We have Universties where people come from every corner of the planet to learn, places of excellence that have stood for over 800 years.
Colleges, further education, open uni,
The onlly problem we have in this country is motivation and a dumbed down effect that has been with us for decades.
There is not a subject out there where you cannot take the first steps to learning in the next few minutes.
Well that's a change in your argument.
Is the UK's one of the top 40 educational systems in the world? Undeniably.
Is it the best (as you stated)? Absolutely not, not by a country mile.
The only problems aren't dumbing down; they are that the UK has an educational system bogged down with class-system ideologies: a middle class desperate to stay away from the proles and an upper class desperate to stay away from the middle class arrivistes.
The class system wrecks what otherwise would and should be a great country in the UK.0 -

Almost sounds like you're moaning about it.
I'm sure you've never followed a poster round the forum trolling them....

The first time i saw coverage from the houses of parliament i was amazed at how it works.
The whole system is a joke.
Hopefully the masses will wake up pretty soon.
Hopefully, when the masses wake up from this slumber they'll realise that they live in one of the world's richest countries where the inhabitants enjoy a standard of living that is the stuff of dreams for most people. It's not by accident.
Opposition parties need to be strong and they need to oppose. Government policy must be justified by having to argue against politcians having the exact opposite view. Better quality politicians would be nice but the basic system seems sound.0 -
Hey Wookster I love your quote ....it has been proven NOT TO WORK
was what the unemployed believed.

I don't believe the UK is "screaming for a new party".
I think you belong to a minority group who blame the government (and everything/everyone else) for the short-comings in their lives. Give me a hard-working, polite Pole over a whinging, self-righteous Brit any day of the week.
I guess we'll see if you're right at the next general election."Beware of little expenses. A small leak will sink a great ship." - Benjamin Franklin0 -
Oh by the way joining UKIP is one thing ....voting for them is another.

UKIP's share of the vote at the recent Bradford by-election was 3.1%.homelessskilledworker wrote: »I have joined the UKIP party
Hardly a groundswell of support in an election made for single issue parties with a slightly unhinged edge to them.
Looking at that result, UKIP appear to be sidelined, irrelevant and unpopular with a complete lack of forward thinking views.
You'll fit in well.:DNothing is foolproof, as fools are so ingenious!
