I have joined the UKIP party

There is just nobody else

Just wondering who some of the over opinionated(and thats all of us:)) posters on the subject of property are following these days.

After the last NuLabor debacle I swore I would never vote for them again, The Tories in such a short period of time have made me realise they are not fit for purpose. Both the main parties are now are just two sides of the same coin, their politics now belong back in the 20th century and probably earlier.

My main concerns are that the aspirations of the middle working working man are dwindling, welfare state, am a massive supporter of a welfare state that helps the needy. And zero tolerance to mass immigration that excludes the REAL persecuted.

So many people now are so turned off by our dogmatic university trained robot politicians, the country is now screaming for a new party/parties that stand for something, the ideology of Labour and conservatives has been long lost.

Migrationwatch/ONS figures show that 39% of new UK households, or approximately 260 homes a day are needed for immigrants. By controlling immigration, large areas of British countryside will not need to be destroyed by house building

My own experience of immigration is that the UK desperately needs skilled migrants. Every single business I have been in in the last 7 years has been severely impacted by not being able to recruit competent staff, be it sales people who can speak coherent English or Coders or financial journalists.

Most of my friends who are in senior positions in professions or industry and commerce will say exactly the same thing.

Face it, this country needs immigration. It also needs to plan for immigration by way of infrastructure.

No it does not need more immigration, if we are short of certain skills in this country we then like it or not start looking into the 3 million unemployed(probably more than 5 million) pool of lost souls, and by hook or by crook we drag them into a an aspirational wanting world where they have some self belief and feelings of worth, we do not just give up on them and allow immigrants to flood our shores. We seriously need some tough love in this country, and why should we poach what could be badly needed doctors from third world countries that might badly need them also.

We have an educational system in this country that is second to none, it's time we become more self suffient with our own people.

Bringing and an expert indian cook or Polish landworker into an already over crowded UK is just not on, and I am aslo talking about the the more skilled as well.

I'm not a member of any organised political party either.

We need immigration because far too many 'Brits' are too idle to do
a real days work and expect wages beyond what can be afforded.
I was in Indonesia last week and on Monday I walked through a
huge shopping mall which was almost totally deserted. when I
asked someone why they said "it's Monday, everyone's at work!"
As NO party can cut the benefits system to a level where work is the norm
for the underclasses were stuck with a slow decline as we are overtaken by Asian countries (and good luck to them).

Foxy, I would have thought your views on immigration would be a bit pedestrian for UKIP. Have you considered the English Defence League?

I find the whole concept of politics completely pointless.

Party A is in power, and they say we should do X.
Party B has to disagree. They can't sit there and say, "Ooh yes good idea". Even if X was a great idea, it's in Party B's best interests to say it's bad.

For that reason politics in it's entirety is detrimental to everyone and everything.

Have you ever watched a coverage from parliament? It's like a playground argument.

Maybe there is something to be said for these smaller parties.

Domestic labour is fairly inelastic (as in it doesn't move around the country for work) which is one reason why immigration is necessary as there is more flexibility there.

There is also the question of our aging population producing less children - immigrants tend to be younger and come to work, which helps provide tax revenues to the Government to waste on some pointless exercise.

I am not sure why you think our education system is 'second to none', i disagree. The three to five million unemployed should be looked for for some unskilled and some skilled labour, but they simply not appropriately skilled, as a group, for some of the skilled positions ...sometimes alongside the education (and whatever intelligence presumed found through the education process for preofessional quals) gall and gumption and perseverance and relentless drive are needed.
