New update from me:
£1,952.34/£5,210.12 (37.47%)
DD for b*rclaycard has gone out, also Hubby has got a new CC (with 0% purchases for 3 months) and has used that to pay the buy now pay later thing that's due this month, so at least we've got another 3 months to pay it. Slightly angry with him about this, I was all for struggling again this month just to get it paid and once the 0% has ended the interest is astronomical! It has over inflated my figures too, so I expect it come back down to around 35% later in the month, but it looks good while it lasts!
It does also mean that we can pay C*pital1 off when he gets paid again before xmas :j:j:j£2013 in 2013 £866.71/£2013

Morning all!
Kerri - we're trying not to go overboard with food this year. I suppose it depends on your plans.
Xmas eve will be a fairly normal day for us (working til 1pm) might do home-made chinese or indian takeaway that night (meal, nibbly starters)
Xmas day tradition states we have grapefuit followed by bacon butties for breakfast, turkey roast meal (getting a crown big enough to feed us both and have PLENTY of leftovers) just usual Sunday style roast with novelty crackers then xmas pud and cream. If we manage tea, it'll be ham butties. Boxing day bacon butties for brunch, turkey n chips for mid afternoon meal, chocolate/crisps/cheese n biscuits in the evening;)
Oh, a few bottles of wine
Definitely meal plan, I always cook my turkey and gammon on Christmas eve to save time. You don't need a tree, just throw some xmassy confetti on the table and a couple of tea lights in glasses. Crackers though are essential. If you don't want the hassle of shopping the weekend before, buy frozen veg, freeze bread and milk and try not to drink all the festive booze :rotfl:0 -
And a bottle of home made Sloe gin

Another update from me as I forgot about a dd that went out this morning:
#304 £1,954.28/£5,210.12 (37.51%)
For the xmas food last year I spent about £200 - and this was without meat as someone else bought it! This was our normal weekly shop with extra milk etc and all the veg, wine, chocolates, cheese's, biscuits, beer, cider, all the sauces etc. We don't do crackers and only started having a tree last year (as we were at home), normally we don't put up any decorations at all .£2013 in 2013 £866.71/£2013

Hi spag bol
My PPI claim was against Barcl4ys.
I sent the claim form on 30/08/2012. I received a reply saying they were looking into the claim on 14/09/2012 saying they would make a decision by 26th October (my birthday funnily enough). I then received a letter with cheque on 27th October. My word did I sulk the day before because I hadn't heard anything on the day they said. I never did have any patience.
It's a long process but worth it. Good luck.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%
