Great news Jemma!! :beer:
I've gone and put us back a bit by agreeing to buy a friend's car. It's an absolute bargain. A bit old but with few miles on the clock and the make/model that I've wanted for a while. It's £650 but I already have 3 offers on my car since this morning for £200.Plus it's MOT and service are due soon but not on the one I'm buying, plus can save £10 per month on the insurance.
Very excited but a bit scared about a "big" spend:jDebt Free By Xmas 2013 #010 £16,660.26/£16,660.26 100% paid, DFD 25/06/13!:j0 -
Wow! That's great news Jemma! I agree you MUST do the bathroom as a priority - it's sound revolting and not somewhere I would wish to wash in!£2013 in 2013 £866.71/£2013

Great News Jemma :j:j I hope the the viewing goes well!
Hugs to Jakes mum too.
We'll I've been a bit spendy this month- those pesky Amozon Black Friday deals got me! BUT, I have put a couple of my spare purchases on fleabay to see if I can get a higher price for them. If not, they will go back.
I've finally paid back DH's card so we now owe Mr Branston absolutely zilch :beer:.
I now have just my RBS card to pay off, but thats on 18 month interest free. I have added to the original debt on this card because the clutch went on my car and thats not in my totals (too depressing). I will start again in January with a shiny new totalBUT ON THE ORIGINAL DEBT I AM OVER 90%:j:j

Well I've been away for the weekend so not managed to look at your posts yet. I stayed with my sister and her husband in Yorkshire (bit of a mobile dead spot to be honest!). I helped them de-rig at a show at the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford as they do the sound and lighting for the shows. We had a good laugh and spent Sunday putting up Christmas decorations!
I've had some terrific news, remember several months ago, I helped my family's company by putting money in there instead of paying off my loan (not very mse for me but it saved my family's business while they were struggling which is far more important!)....???? Well.... they are giving me the money back which means I can put an offer in on that house I loved!!!! I'm viewing it tomorrow evening with my family. It's on for £98k but am hoping to get it reduced SIGNIFCANTLY as there have only been 5 viewings on it since it went on in May... Looking at it, it needs completely gutting so this will probably have put off other first time buyers who can't afford it cos it needs a new bathroom, kitchen, carpets, fire.... plus decorating etc which will come to about £10k. I'll have to replace the carpets in the living room and bedroom first as well as just painting the wall paper for now until I've enough money to actually do the job properly. I've enough money to also rip out the bathroom straight away (it has an avacado bathroom suit, wood panelled ceilings and shelving plus a horrible swirly patterned carpet....YUCK!!!!) Everything else will need to be done up bit by bit as I am NOT getting in to debt again by doing it up all at once. I have most certainly learned my lesson. Besides, it will be quite nice to save up for what you want as it will mean more. I'm thinking of it as old style house decorating!
Anyway, must dash as I'm at work but will log on and catch up with you all properly tonight xxx

Hoping to do 33% by Xmas! :eek:DMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -
I've gone up a little bit, but it's because I've used CC to pay off more expensive catalogues (BNPL at nearly 40% interest). It's a bit demotivating, but I have recently had to move out from living with OH, so expenses (rent etc) have increased. If I hadn't put this on CC, I'd have been charged a few hundred pounds in interest. Tried to pay off as much as poss by Christmas 2012 and it's been a lot! (8 thousand roughly) However, I think I'll be back next year!!

Oooh just rang a CC I had in 2000 (my first ever one grrrr) and I had PPI for 6 years:eek: I KNEW I had it with one of them but I didn't check with this one as I still have a CC with them now and so didn't think I had it but I did on the original card!
I will complain today! And another card too for me and DH. Fingers crossed...DMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -
