It's the last day of August and we have just had a massive burst of inspiration from our lovely MAY2013!!! :j:j:j Well done for becoming debt free!!! We are all so proud of you and your achievement spurs us on to the not too distant finish line. :A
We have only got a couple of hours left of August so if you can pull any pennies out of the coffers to help our total then do so!!!
I'm declaring:
#001: £10,613.27/£16,736.45
I'm about £2k down from where I need to be but I'm staying foolishly optimistic (that I'll get an email from the National Lottery telling me I've won more than a tenner this time! :rotfl:).
Last night was freeeeeeeeeeezing... Me and my mum went for a walk and I had to put on my winter coat, gloves and hat (I kid you not!). It did make me think how close we are to the end of the challenge. I have only 4 more paydays until Xmas so every penny needs to count.
Tomorrow is the start of a new month so lets make September the best month we have ever had!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :j:j:j:j

Jemma, do you want me to give a target for what I hope to have cleared by Christmas, or is it better to stick with my total debt?0 -
Argh, im in such a catch 22! I have an old hoover ive popped up on facebook for pennies (literally! I want rid of it!) had quite a bit of interest so offered to the first to ask who didnt get back to me, mailed them 3 times and ended up saying id have to offer to next on list, have done so (they havent replied yet but tbh they could be up the pub) and first refusal has just popped up saying they were at work is it still available
Technically yes it is but as ive offered it to next in line now I feel I have to give them a chance to say yay or nayI can sooooo see myself being stuck with it till next week now and really wanted rid this weekend
On a more positive note I realised in my excitement over £2k to go i missed my 3/4 of total paid off milestone  so yay meSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

I don't believe there is an update day - update whenever you want. If this is wrong please tell me as I have obviously not been doing it at the right time!DFBX2013: 021 :j seriousDFW £0 [STRIKE] £3,374[/STRIKE] 100% Paid off

Hi May-great result! Doesn't your name look fine on the Roll of Honour!
Hang in there Psycho-it's a bummer when RL gets in the way and you have to spend money, when all you want to do is pay off debts!
Ooh Spag, you did make me chuckle when you first noticed the avatars!
Cheery wave out to Kerfuffle xox
Two of my younger girls want to open a Lemonade Stall tomorrow, so that they can make some dollars for our trip home next year-at least that is how the 9 yr old (Head of PR) got me to agree to the idea. I think any profits will quickly be spent in the sweet shop. The 7 yr old (VP of Marketing) has made a lot of posters to stick on lamposts with directions on how to get to our front garden. There have been many meetings held by the children as their plans get bigger and better everyday-they now want to sell cookies too in order to maximize profits...ha ha!!! As DH's job could end at anytime (although we haven't told them yet), I notice that he hasn't been giving them their pocket money; they also haven't asked us for any money which makes me think that their bat-like ears hv heard us discussing it...Baby continues to grow and develop well which is a relief!

Morning all!
Payday for me today, so I've paid the DCA and paid the "over the limit" bit that my cc was on due to them applying the interest. I've got some fleabay money coming in shortly, so I'll also be throwing that at the cc to get it down further. This month is really short (I have about £150 after bills and groceries) as the OH doesn't get his student loan until the end of the month. Although, then he'll be chucking his rent until the end of the year into the joint account, which will help massively.
I've over-budgeted on the groceries, giving us a lovely £50 a week for the whole of September. But I'm hoping we'll use less than that, as £50 for 2 people is quite a lot.
Anyway, my debt total was getting confusing so I've amended it to the £3400 odd it was after we moved, I feel less of a cheat then...although I know I have paid off more than this, I feel like it's a fresh start at kicking the debt to the kerb
New total Jemma please:
£3420/£3320
Kerri, I am sooooooo confused by your total...?!New Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

Don't worry, there is no specific day to post, the last few days of the money are always the busiest as it's when people get paid! As for your total, it's up to you which target you want to have, it absolutely makes no difference to me but it may be really important for you so you have to do what will be best for you hun. xNew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T
