It's payday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!New Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T
Debt at Highest: £43,073 :eek:0 -
Yay payday! I'm gutted though, due to spending on my cc, my extra pay this month is going on paying some of that off instead of making a big dent in my last 0% cc. I'm getting back into that circle of buying stuff on cc instead of saving for it which means that my pay is going back to pay off things rather than being able to stay in my account. Very disappointed in myself as it's so frustrating. I have listed a few cds on fleabay though, and am sending some to a recycling site, and I'm going to rephoto my clothes for sale and make sure I make the most of the next free listing weekend. I do have lots of things on fb sale sites but nothing on there is really selling.Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16

because I've been 'labouring' for DH in our gardening business neither of us has felt like cooking when we get home and it's too darned easy to get a takeaway or go to the pub for a meal. It'll change next week when I go back to my proper job and he'll have to manage on his own though
As long as we all keep chipping away we will get there in the end.
Oh and it's free Fleabay listing week from tomorrow until the 9th :jLife's little instructions- Treat everyone you meet like you want to be treated..Watch a sunrise at least once a year..Strive for excellence not perfection:j£2 SC no.70 £140/£350SPC no.73 SPC9 £248 SPC10 target £250DFBX12 No. 069 £7719 / £7719 DEBT FREE 30/11/122013 mfw No.4 MORTGAGE FREE 5/8/130 -
Ooh thanks for the info lemon
I know we have blips, I'm just already in the mindset that i'm debt free as I'm not paying interest on that last card so it doesn't count. Just annoyed at myself, although I did need some clothes that fit me (I'm losing weight but nothing was fitting me!) and a hoover that works (didn't NEED a dys0n though, I do love it and it was well worth it!!). I've got a few events planned in September but I'll have to just make a budget and stick to it for each thing so I don't go over and resort to using the cc again. It's just so darn easy to spend money it's like water.
And actually you just reminded me, I need to batch cook something as I'm on lates Sun Mon and Tues so need to have dinners ready to take to work.Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

Morning all!
Payday for me today, so I've paid the DCA and paid the "over the limit" bit that my cc was on due to them applying the interest. I've got some fleabay money coming in shortly, so I'll also be throwing that at the cc to get it down further. This month is really short (I have about £150 after bills and groceries) as the OH doesn't get his student loan until the end of the month. Although, then he'll be chucking his rent until the end of the year into the joint account, which will help massively.
I've over-budgeted on the groceries, giving us a lovely £50 a week for the whole of September. But I'm hoping we'll use less than that, as £50 for 2 people is quite a lot.
Anyway, my debt total was getting confusing so I've amended it to the £3400 odd it was after we moved, I feel less of a cheat then...although I know I have paid off more than this, I feel like it's a fresh start at kicking the debt to the kerb
New total Jemma please:

Hooray for Payday!
I am not paying off as much as hoped but still feel it is good. This means I definitely wont quite get to paid off by Xmas but maybe by New Year. I am going to keep on trying my best though - with all the support of the wonderful people on this thread :T
#234 £7965/£12468 which I think is 63.88%
I am struggling with a few house maintainance problems but am getting them sorted. Have damp/condensation problems so have bought a dehumidifier. When it arrives I hope that sorts out the problems. Have had pointing fixed up and drainpipe fixed. Just need to see if washer/dryer can be fixed under it's extended warranty tomorrow.
Back to school on Tuesday so need to be organised and back on steady course with food/shopping budget. I always end up spending more in the holidays. I seem to find it too easy to justify extra spending because "we are on holiday and should be having fun". Back to the straight and narrow now for the last push to get this pesky debt out of my life for goodDebt Free. Have my Van.Find dream
