    Oh Jemma, I hate the dentist so you were very brave and got them at a bargain price.

    Hugs back to you x

    Having a really bad week :(

    I returned something to a company & they didn't receive it so they took out of our account £265 without telling us they they were going to do it. 5 weeks ago they said if they didn't recieve it they would take out the money but as I didn't hear anything from them I though they had got the item but no. We don't have an overdraft so this then gave us bank charges of £34!! !!!!!!!! It turned out that they had spelt my name wrong on my email address & I didn't get any emails. They are gong to refund the £265 just waiting to hear about the bank charges, I even begged our building society to waver the charges but they wouldn't.

    Also just been diagnosed with skin cancer it's localised thank god but it is on the corner of my eye near my nose so waiting for more hospital appointments now. What a carp year!

    Hope everyone is feeling ok and no-one will be flooded out this weekend. :coffee:

    Big hugs and positive vibes winging their way to you :grouphug: and to Jemma too for the dentist :)

    I'm a bit excited, DH has been offered a job which would be better money so I've got everything crossed :)
    DMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
  • Good luck with DH's possible new job Spagbol!

    Glad you got your fillings cheap Jemma - good idea having a dentist friend I think ;)

    Well I'm quite proud of myself as the last 2 weeks I've been on the tightest budget since I started this challenge due to DH's salary being less than we thought and I've not only kept within it but had money leftover. Just shows what I can do when I put my mind to it :). If I keep up like this, I might have to change my name on here to something else ;).

    Morning all, I have been reading but can't remember much so hugs to all and well done to anyone who has paid off a debt.

    My last lie-in today, which I tried to enjoy, but Mr S got up at 6am to see the Torch and I'm now regretting staying in bed. But anyway, back to work tomorrow :( Been a bit spendy this week, getting clothes for festival and bits and pieces so must stop it in order to get everything paid off next month.

    have been MIA for a few months as had problems with the internet not working, finally gave up with it and got me a dongle! anyway, quick update on what has been going on last few months. changed job back in Feb and salary was halved, had a great plan that with wftc would prob not be hugely worse off as not paying petrol etc to get to work. ah.....best laid plans! i am now on a salary of 11.5k, worked out and told wftc that would earn 13.5k this year (taking into account overtime bonus etc) anyway they have very kindly worked my money out on 16k giving me £76 a week rather than over £100. that annoying 2.5k disregard! when i phoned about this the man kindly said "oh but if we find that you dont earn 16k this year, next april we will give you it back!" very kind, thanks for that, totally pooped up my debt busting plans for this year:mad:

    anyway, as you can probably tell i am babbling on here due to my excitement at actually being able to A: get back on here and back into the zone and B; access online banking again:j

    so, my update is as follows;

    No 35. start debt 9435 / current debt 8935 / paid off £500

    apologies that my start debt has gone up so will affect the overall debt for the thread, but i promise i will work really hard to pay lots off!:rotfl:

    Gosh, where is everybody?

    Was my last post the kiss of death for the thread? :eek:

    Does the UK actually have some sunshine at the moment?

    Have you all gone to America for a free trip?

    Hope to see you all again soon :)
