Psycho I know it's easy for us to say "dump them" but they are your friends and I think you did the right thing telling them how you feel. I too am having issues with friends ATM and am not as brave as you to tell them how they are making me feel. So well done you.
Waves to everyone else. I had a lot to catch up on so have forgotten most of it already so sorry if I've missed anyone xGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

It didn't do me any favours telling them, but I don't think I did wrong by saying anything if it was upsetting me so much. If they really are my friends then they would understand why I was upset. It is really difficult though to just dump friends and move on. Hope you get your issues sorted out soonBecame Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

This is how I feel plus I'm afraid of sounding petty tbh. 4 years ago when I had DD my best friend told me that she didn't think we should hang out that much anymore as I had become boring as all I talked about was DD. That hurt me then but I started to get over it by telling myself that not everyone likes kids and maybe I did talk about DD a bit much. Now she has just had a baby and for the last six months all her FB (I know I know the dreaded FB!) status's has been along the lines of "ooh can't wait for baby to be born......5weeks to go......I love being a mum.....my boy is the best thing ever to happen to me......I got sicked on today by my boy......my boy did a poo....." you get the picture. It hurts all over again. 4 years ago I was boring but now it's her baby it's different. I know I shouldn't let it get to me but it does. But I'm afraid if I say something everyone will think I'm being petty.
Sorry for the rantGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Hi Choclover
Thanks for posting the photo of your little princess-are you sure she was only born last week??? She looks v alert for a newborn...a sure sign of intelligence. You take it easy now and don't be pushing yourself too hard with the money situation!
I've just finished my night shift and am going to tiptoe in while the family is asleep and sort through the goody bags brought home by the children on their last day at school, to see of I can find a stray chocolate bar. There, that's v MSE of me, no?'You've got to tell your money what to do or it will leave!' Dave Ramsey0 -
Well another £50 off mums CC as she just text me saying 'ive got the CC bill here, its payment date is 29th' so shes running down the PO to make the min payment (says 2 working days to clear) and ive done my usual £50 via internet so we have 2 chances of getting the payment credited in time.

Well, finally got through to the taxman after listening to countless options and recordings of help. Turns out I owe nothing and they don't owe me. They realised they'd calculated I'd overpaid without considering my new employment and when they did, they calculated I owed them as they'd sent me a cheque. Fortunately I didn't bank the cheque and pay it towards CC or I'd be having to find £635 to pay them.
Not sure I'll be debt free by xmas now, even if I use the money I usually pay towards the loan, I still need to find another £140 a month to have the CC paid by xmas.0 -

Well time for a quick update:
Fritter princess: Well done the first step is the hardest
pyschobabble: Night out was great the rest of the weekend not so good! Well done on the job
Tinks: Welcome to the group
Ruth: I did that and went onto a rolling monthly contract with O2 plus its a soft search with an acceptance after 6 months with no search. By the way was the NCT sale at QEGS?
Pedro: Well done on the race
Jake I did the same thing about runners coming out from behind bushes and now my neighbour shouts bush every time he sees me!
jemma: You are so accident prone!
mrs02b: Well done
Jemma again: Now Asda honestly!
Canuksfan: Well done now slow down
Choclover: Aww my heart has melted
hiss missus: Aren't they evil doing that! Mine used to do it all the time now I get an adverse to marketing and I got nothing!
Starnac: Its so funny how people do get when they have kids.
Well an update on me. CHB has been stopped this week. Phoned up and now I move monthly which knackers my budgeting up! So taking a back seat and chill for this month. Though trying to get a passport done for a holiday and running out of time!
Talking of FB, I wish there was a delete button in real life. Had upset Father in Law turn up tried to help and it got him and me into more trouble. Though after all the work I've put into the Mother in law being kicked out I've decided they can all go forth and multiply!
Well overall an exhaustive weekend and week, people round everyday on the weekend then PTA at mine on Monday, chill out last night and out surveying tonight!
Good news my company is bumping forward my car replacement so I'm opting for a Blue Motion golf which reduces my tax but it won't happen for at least 6 months I think!
Oh and went behind the scenes at flamingo land to see the new monitor lizard enclosure being built. Gotta love my job somedays!0 -
Canuksfan - glad you are ok and hurray for fingers and toes
Choclover - wow what a gorgeous babycongratulations on the birth of Emily
)
Jemma - please be careful!!!
Psycho - I would ditch them if I were you. Good friends are there for you when you need them. Your "friends" have let you alone whilst you've been off work, and poorly they're not good friends. I have reflected recently on who has been there for me whilst OH has been away and none of my so-called-friends apart from my housemate have even bothered to check I've been ok. So they're all getting ditched, cut-throat but better to do it now than keep hurting myself over and over again.
Thanks for the well wishes everyone. Canada is ok, I tried to drive the car into oncoming traffic this evening whilst talking about driving in England oops! First time driving at night, so that's my excuse. I feel completely out of my depth with this assignment though, but I knew from the start I would. However, my colleague has also raised with me this evening that she would have sent someone more experienced had she been my manager .... great! just what I wanted to hear!!! However, I'm just getting on with the job and getting my colleagues back in the UK to check my work for me. I might not know what I'm talking about at the moment, but I'll sure as hell give a good presentation on it on Friday!!!
My OH comes back on Tuesday and I cannot wait! However, I am going to give some bad news now. I need to declare £1500 onto my total debt. It's the only way I can see of actually paying off the dratted credit card, as I know I'll just keep using it as spending money if I don't. I am going to have to put my deposit money for the flat when we start flathunting, onto it. But if I declare it, then I know I can start overpaying. Quite a bit will come off when I get paid on Friday, and then even more when my expenses come back in. But if I don't declare it then I'm just going to bury my head in the sand and feel bad about it. It's already showing estimated interest of £111 and that sickens meDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:
