We live 10 miles from Tenby and I work there and I can confirm it's fab. I often eat my lunch looking over North beach and the harbour, it is all soooo lovely. We still can't really believe that we live in Pembrokeshire. Me and DH often say to each other '' we live here!!!!''
Anyway, on the DFBX12 front I've had a little ebay sale, a refund from insurance premium and a little hobble and have paid £45 to cc so new totals

Jakes-mum, I would like to steal these ideas from your list please :D:

Feel free :rotfl:, I picked them because we never have any 'dates' anymore now the kids are here and I do think its important for parents to still be a couple as well :o

The other one is because I am terrible for needing to know where every penny is spent (and a little vocal about what I deem as wasting money, though im sure none of you have noticed this :rotfl:). He works hard so should have some money for himself that is nothing to do with me and none of my business how its spent :) oh and I should too, though knowing me it will all go in my terramundi :rotfl::rotfl:

Hi all, I need to think about my list for a bit. Too much to choose from!

I finally closed my barclaycard the other day. I'd reduced the limit to £300 but clearing that every month was wiping out any chance of further debt repayment. Haven't been debt-busting as it's Mr S's birthday on Thursday and I've overspent a bit (not excessively but more than I'd planned) because I feel bad we won't be doing anything much on the day itself as I'm in hospital TOMORROW! Eeek.

Got lots of little bits to sort out today ready incase I'm really not up to much at all afterwards.

ETA: My 0% on one card ends next month so need to magically find £850 to find to clear it! They did refund my late payment charge though, and the interest I incurred so I cn't complain too much...

    Thinking of you for tomorrow.;)

    10) Stop comparing myself to other people as a failure for being so much in debt. Be proud of myself every day for learning from my mistakes and getting myself out of this debt hole on my own.

Can I just say that you really do need to do number 10! You should be incredibly proud of how you are facing up to your debts, not trying to blame other people for them, and taking responsibility for them. And you keep us all together, updated, motivated etc etc etc. I wish I had done this years ago, it was your introductory page that convinced me to do this, so you are not only going to help yourself but you are also helping over 300 other people do it too.

Wish I could give you a hug, you're amazing :A

Right, off to zumba in my living room (if I can do it 7 times, I break even on the cost vs classes)

    Hiya Kerri and Friends
This challenge has left me scratching my head. There should be 100 things I willl be able to do when I am debt free, but I am struggling to come up with 10. I cannot believe a time will ever come when the debt is not the first thing I think when I wake up in the morning and the last thing I think about at night. Now that the goalpost is within sight, I still expect something to happen to scupper all that...

    1. I will be able to take a WHOLE year off work when Bubba is born!
    2. I will try not to go crazy buying stuff for the kids and will try and put some money in a savings a/c for an Emergency Fund.
    3. If I stay on track at paying off the debt, tonight will be my last Overnight shift - hurrah!
    4. It will provide security for the children and I, especially as DH is so spendy. You cannot put a price on peace of mind!
    5. I can buy some clothes for the children so that they don't look so tatty.
    6. I can save for a new washing machine, as the current one puts holes in our laundry (see No 5).
    7. I can save up to get a plumber-decorator to find the source of a leak in the bathroom. Have been living with the smell of damp for 2 years - Eww!
    8. The kids and I can get away for a weekend of camping sometime over the Summer.
    9. I can get my hair cut - first time since my last Mat Leave 3 yrs ago!
    10. If there IS a problem with this baby, (I am 44 and DH is 50 ) then I will have some money put aside to support the family. First ultrasound scan next Tuesday - fingers crossed!

Phew! There I have done it! Oh one more...

    11. Keep in contact with Jemma et al to make sure that I do not head over to the Dark Side (ie The Mall!) too often!

    249-Canucksfan: Another $1000 put towards the debt...$16300/17418.95:rotfl:

Okay, by this time tomorrow night, I will have paid off my car loan, which will leave me just my other loan and credit card.

I also get my sharesave (finally!) in August, so hoping for a DFD sooner rather than later.

    As for my bucket list:

    1. Go to Rock Werchter festival in Belgium.
    2. Oktoberfest in Munich.
    3. Return to Nepal for another trek.
    4. Save up a deposit for a flat/small house.
    5. Get a reasonable wardrobe of clothes.
    6. Not hesitate thinking about my monthly budget when people ask me if I want to go cinema/meal/pint etc.
    7. New TV
    8. New Computer
    9. Finally get around to doing my masters.
    10. Realise that money really is just a tool, and use it to make my life better, while really living rather than chasing possessions.

That list has really cheered me up actually. There's oodles more stuff to do (stuff to buy isn't really a priority, just travel, experiences). Not been abroad since 2008, and my passport's expired four years ago, so a new one of them at number 11!
    DFW - DEBT FREEEEEE!

    Total - 10762/10762 :)

Every silver lining has its cloud.
