Suzitiger - Oooo pics of your makes when they are done please
your talking to a craft lover an I always sneak a bit of home made stuff into the kids christmas prezzies
Hmmm 10 things for when im debt free:
1) We will holiday abroad once a year as a family
2) The kids will get some proper savings in their 'college funds' rather than the £1 a month I currently pay
3) I will have a specific savings account for school trips/after school activities/clubs that gets paid into monthly
4) I will start to overpay the mortgage, £800 a month is alot of money
5) We will start to do the DIY projects we have been putting off because of lack of funds
6) DH and I will go out to dinner once a month ON OUR OWN!
7) Sealed Pot savings will be for a nice extra family treat, we will NOT sit and justify using it as a debt repayment
8) I will no longer look round all the rooms and try to figure out what people wont miss so I can ebay it
9) I will replace all my kitchen utensilsI never buy anything for myself and they really need replacing
10) and finally . . . DH and I will have pocket money each month and I will NOT have any say in how he spends it or make any comments about his spending of it eitherSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £25/£10000 -
Hi all, I need to think about my list for a bit. Too much to choose from!
I finally closed my barclaycard the other day. I'd reduced the limit to £300 but clearing that every month was wiping out any chance of further debt repayment. Haven't been debt-busting as it's Mr S's birthday on Thursday and I've overspent a bit (not excessively but more than I'd planned) because I feel bad we won't be doing anything much on the day itself as I'm in hospital TOMORROW! Eeek.
Got lots of little bits to sort out today ready incase I'm really not up to much at all afterwards.
ETA: My 0% on one card ends next month so need to magically find £850 to find to clear it! They did refund my late payment charge though, and the interest I incurred so I cn't complain too much...Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

My list is:
1) Save for a deposit on a nice house with a garden
2) Pay off the mortgage for above house as soon as poss
3) Go for weekends away at least every fortnight
4) Go on holiday at least once a year (it’s been 4 years...)
5) Build up a property portfolio of rented houses
6) Build up own/family business so I can retire very early
7) Try new things like flying lessons or hand gliding
8) Never have a credit card again
9) Never have to worry about how to pay any bills or even buy food and have savings!
10) Stop comparing myself to other people as a failure for being so much in debt. Be proud of myself every day for learning from my mistakes and getting myself out of this debt hole on my own. Most importantly though, stop obsessing about money!!!
Blimey, I felt so sick last night, I must've really pushed myself! Serves me right for trying to keep up with the woman in front...!!!New Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

Croyde is the best place for a holiday, really lovely and chilled but at the same time quite highbrow :rotfl::rotfl: posh and cheap (when camping- cottages are quite pricey) so my kind of place :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: The climate can take a bit of getting used to though, lots of sea mist and quite chilly at night because it is on the atlantic coast but can get v hot during the day and great waves for surfing and body boarding. We love it
Another fab place to camp is River Dart Country Park in South Devon. Much warmer in the evenings and a pub onsite. Theres loads of go ape type stuff and assault courses and a lake with a climbing frame boat in the middle so a great site for active kids!! However not so close to beach and not got the same surfy atmosphere. Well worth a look though!
Jakes-mum, I would like to steal these ideas from your list please:

Hello all!
Suzitiger, thanks will have a look tonight. Mrs AtS, I hate the smell of milk fresh or otherwise.
12 days til my loan is paid up, then only the CC to bash.
Will go away and think of my bucketlist. Was a bit freaked when the thread opened this page first and I just saw "Recurrent-ostrich: my bucket list..." at the top of the page :eek:0 -

I think a bucket list is a list that a person makes for things they want to achieve before they 'kick the bucket'.
But we know what you mean :rotfl:0 -
