A bit late for last weeks challenge, but persuaded hubby to look at changing his bank account (actually I did it and told him to apply!). He's currently with Natwest - paying £12.95 a month for their gold account and worked out that actually the only 'benefit' he actually needs is the mobile phone insurance which we can get for around £50 a year. Told him to apply for a Halifax reward especially as they are offering £100 for switching on top of the £5 a month! So all in all I think we'll be saving around £150 a year and that's without the extra £100! Anyway, he received a letter this morning saying he's been accepted - which is fantastic news as he normally gets turned down for stuff which is why he's stayed with natwest for so long. :j:j:j:j:j

I've been away for a bit - need to catch up!

I've just had some success getting a 0% 20 month deal from mbna, that should help speed up the pay off. Goodbye Barclays and your patronising emails! :)

Yoga - I can't function without it!! My life has changed since I started it (for the better :)!).QUOTE]

sorry no idea how to quote properly!!

Where do you do your yoga Mrs Addicted to Spending? in London I can't seem to find anywhere cheaper than £10 per session or £40 per month gym membership fee at a rubbish gym where the classes are always oversubscribed & not every day.

Maybe that's just how much yoga costs and I should see it as a necessity for my health and sanity rather than a luxury!!

I think I'm quite bad at motivating myself, I tend to slack off if no one's watching :o

DVD would be a massively cheaper option though! Going to have a look and see what's out there. Cheers Loubie Lou :)

    Another £50 off DH's CC.

    #084 £9493/58000 16.37%

So close to £10k now :j:j:j

I actually paid off another £550 to my CC today from my tax rebate. I'm not going to declare it though as it was money I spent over the last couple of months so really it would be cheating. It feels like a huge waste but that'll teach me :D
