    Hi folks,

Long time no post, been a bit meh recently, didn't work much last month hence a very low wage packet but still lots of stuff to pay for. Top it all off my debt has gone up a bit, only by £100 but its still £100 which I didn't need IYSWIM!

So Jemma, please could you update my debt total a little bit, thanks.........:(

    #4 £3470/£13979

    Loobs x

  • Loubie-Lou - sorry you've been feeling 'meh' - it's horrible when you're trying to pay debts off and things go wrong and you end up adding to it again. We have no savings at all so if anything goes wrong this year, the debt will have to go up to pay for it, so we've got our fingers crossed.

Kerri - thanks for the mini-challenge :). I've reduced bills where I can before but could probably do with checking them again just to make sure.

  • Ooh thanks for that, reminded me I need to ring Southern Electric today as I lost my postal letter in the house move to sort my online log in so I've not been able to do our meter readings.

Feeling sorry for myself as I burnt my arm last night on the oven (only a little but still :o) It went under the cold tap and then I had a cold flannel on it for ages and I put aloe vera gel on it but I'm not sure if I've done the right thing. Ah well, I'm impatient we shall see, I'm sure it'll be fine.

You did the right thing with the burn - I hope it heals soon. Just protect it from getting infected (with plaster/bandage) if you are doing gardening or anything similar as burns are very prone to infection (as skin is damaged).

I know MATS, its not that i'm adding to it really. On a DMP and just getting up to date balances but it's just annoying when you have calculated it wrong! :(

Arghhhh! Why is it I am so savvy with money yet had no clue you cannot use your no claims on 2 cars??? Just spoke to DH's insurance company who were chasing proof an said 'oo can I email you a copy of the other insurance?' umm no would be the answer, you cant use that no claims on another car at the same time :(

So the poor bloke is now running round trying to find another insurance and possibly make me the main driver of the second car (though I also have no no claims as ive been on DH's insurance for 10 years ) and im assuming im going to get a cancellation fee off the insurer he's with :(

On a more interesting and happier note, DD has just run in to me with a piece of paper thats shes written A N N A on and gone 'look mummy, that says Anna' not bad for 4 1/2 that hasnt started school yet :D Most kids start with C A T, but not my brainiac, we'll just go straight for names tyvm :rotfl:
Aw J-M, unfortunately no you can't :( you build up NCD per policy to stop people having 3 cars with one set of NCD. However, they do expire after 5 years, so what I've seen a lot of people do is use hubbys one year, then wifeys the next year to keep them in balance.

Well done to Lilly for knowing how to spell Anna :) does she know who Anna is though?

Thanks, it's a couple of inches below my wrist and maybe a centimetre long (I'm not going to measure it my office mates already think I've crazy :rotfl:) I haven't got it covered right now but I'll be careful with it. It hasn't blistered like I expected, maybe a teeny tiny bit and it's a little tender but nothing like the blisters I get on my foot from my psoriasis (skin problems I have them!).

Hectic afternoon at work but thankfully I've just fired off the last of the emails I needed to do. Hopefully tomorrow is better.

Well the broker has insured the second car with the same insurer as the first car and me as the main driver, from what I could gather from the jargon he threw at me, they have given me a bonus no claims discount due to time on DH's insurance and next year I can claim the full 9+ years he has too (it was all very convoluted). On the up side the insurance only went up £10 a month and there was no extra payment for cancelling the other :o.

It seems Anna is a girl in her nursery class :rotfl:
