Just remember how far you have come though....... And it's these tough times that will make you appreciate every moment of being debt free.

My wet weekend shall consist of me being an eb@y queen! So much to list and so little time! Fingers crossed I make my millions! No payments made today, as I'm waiting for a cheque to clear. Roll on the 10th when my loan payment goes out and I can change my totals!
    October make £10/day currently £11.02

Aww Camuk big dodgy looking hug for you :grouphug:

I feel bad telling you all my good news now as its a bit like rubbing salt in the wound :o, Had a letter finally from DLA saying they have relooked at my claim and changed their mind and awarded me mid rate care :j plus have extended their renewal date to dec 2016 . So am now looking good for actually being DF by Xmas (I really wasnt sure id get there :o) I also think they might backdate the money to dec 2011  though DH has already started to ask about changing his bike . . . part of me wants to say 'no! my debt money, my debt money ' the other part knows that hes suffering alot with his legs and his current bike is really exacerbating the problem and to not change it may be the difference between him being able to work and possibly getting so bad he gets signed off

Brandnewstart – hope you are feeling better and more positive :)

Youngbusinessman – it might sound a lot now, but you are working on it and it will soon reduce in no time... you have taken the biggest step and you are now learning to deal with it!

MrsNoMoney – exam today or next Friday? Either way, good luck!!

Jakes-mum – nothing wrong in making hundreds of little payments to one debt :D well done on the benefits success :)

Kerri – we seem to agree on how ‘real’ friends should or shouldn’t be...maybe we shouldjust stick together! By the way, Braintree is 20 minutes away from me but I never go in the chocolate shop, it’s just too dangerous! As long as you know you aren’t doing it just for him then who cares about anyone else... let them say what they want. People gossip and like to have an opinion (I can’t say I don’t have an opinion though) so let them get on with it and just ignore them.

Eyeswideopen – I just ignore interest :D I just work out my min payments minus the interest if that makes sense...

His missus – great work on the itunes vouchers! Maybe i should look at that for Mr S’s birthday next month, I’ve been good and not been using my tesc0 vouchers on shopping

Avogirly – well done on all your work with the debts and making payments :)

Jemma – did you get the info on your BT for loan? I’ve not done it that way round so not sure.

FloridaFairy – hows the orange roots?! Don’t worry, different colour roots are on trend right now! All the celebs do it to disguise greys :D

Kerfluffle – hope you sorted the money thing out with DD... it must be hard as you want to help them but I suppose at the same time, if you can’t afford to or it affects your repayments etc then you have to endure tough love... It probably won’t do her any harm in the long run to learn to fend for herself 

Lemonpopsicle – when I was doing the sealed pot challenge, I kept a running total of everything I took out of the pot to add up at the end of the year. If you have money to pay off cards, it’s counter-productive to pay the interest :)

KatieC – excellent work on the PPI reclaim.. I wish I had more to reclaim but sadly not

Ruthy – good look with the new system for money! I can’t have cash at all or it burns a big hole in my pocket!

Camuk – hope things get better soon :(

Sorry to anyone I missed on my mammoth update. No debt-busting as been naughty on the spendy front.

I've had a lovely couple of days but knackered now... went to the Harry Potter studio tour on Wednesday. We left super early to make sure we didn't get stuck in traffic so we were the first ones through the gate and in the car park... oops! Was really good though, expensive but very interesting :) went out for a chinese dinner with friends that evening. We were going to go to cadbury world yesterday but when we woke up at silly o'clock we saw weather warnings etc so didn't want to risk driving all that way and not being able to get back, so ended up going to Westfield for lunch and out to a local burgers n ribs type place for dinner last night with Mr S and a friend and her husband. I was thoroughly spoilt and loved all my presents :D

Had an interview today in the big smoke for a front-of-house corporate job, not sure how it went so just have to wait and see. Getting nervous at the idea of actually going ahead and quitting old job now, but I know it makes sense in more ways than one and it would be nice to have weekends free to plan.

Going to Grimsby tomorrow for the weekend as it's a friends babys christening... hoping the weather improves as I want chips by the sea! :D

Now home and having to catch up on washing, washing up, tidying etc as we haven't had anytime to do any of it for days!

Thanks psychopathbabble, I've got ourselves straightened out again but it's dragged me down for a couple of months. As I said in the previous post The Bank of this Mum and Dad is definately closed to business, especially for non-essentials (as was the case this time). In the future we'll help with time and labour, but money is not going to cross our palms.

Enjoy Grimsby, isn't it supposed to be one of the luckiest places in the UK for winning the lottery? You'll have to get a ticket just to be on the safe side. Good luck! :)
