My latest listings have included the following: old camera gear, bags, books, videos, DVDs, CDs, computer bits, a designer suit, old event programmes, camping gear, kids computer games and other kids stuff.
The easiest way to see if people are paying for similar things is to search for completed listings - you'd be surprised!
I think I've got to go for another batch on Thursday haven't I? Haha0 -
I listed clothing the children had outgrown, hubbys old work clothes (he lost 3.5 stone last year) crib drapes, baby and maternity stuff.. shoes I won't ever wear or can't wear.. erm.. heaps!!
My next batch is mainly clothing but I have some of the childrens old clarks and startrite shoes to list as well.. and a brand new mobile phone. I was just thinking what else I could list lol.. OH.. I have a couple of winter coats the chillies have outgrown and some childrens books.

I sell books and cds and dvds on amazon but I'm not sure about any of my clothes.....would any one really want them. Kids have all left home so no kids stuff to sell. Do you all include photos? doesn't it all take ages to put on the ebay listings? We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.0

Never sold anything on e bay........wouldn't have a clue...........lol plus don't have a camera and can't honestly think anyone would actually pay for my throwouts.............lol
Ventured into our junk room and had a look to see whats in two of the drawers out there................candle making kit I bought from charity shop about 2 years ago plus loads of bits of candles I was going to melt down and make as new........................lol Never got around to it and can't see me doing it now but rang one of our ex foster lads and he's over the moon that he can have it...............so that'll be two drawers cleared out.
Also found wipe clean garden apron I've never worn and a cloth apron I think I got with a decorating set..........all from charity shops..............maybe if I put them in a more prominent place where I can see them they'll get used. I clean forgot I'd got them.
So............I'm making a start albeit it a small one................:TMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

But how old is your mum and what kinds of clothes does she sell......you have certainly given me something to think aboutWe don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.0 -
At the moment we're storing a lot of stuff for one of my OH's friends whilst he's staying at his mothers/looking for a new home but his stuff only amounts for half of the clutter around here, and my OH owns hardly anything compared to me! So today I have began decluttering, if I don't then my babies will have nowhere to sleep once our family plans get going!
Have already put things on Ebay today but so much further to go! I'm aiming to be decluttered and hopefully slightly better off (thanks to Ebay!) by the end of March ... will keep you all updated!Small business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0 -

Please can I join the de-clutter club?? :hello:
Wish I'd found this thread a bit back.....when I started on my downsizing/de-cluttering journey. I was just about to take a load of my old craft stuff to the charity shop when I though...be brave:o ... and have a bash at Ebaying. I am gobsmacked to find that my profits are now well into four figures  just from the crafty stuff alone. I then moved on to kitchenalia-type stuff, then knickery knackery sort of china and now I have about a dozen 'collectible' sort of items languishing in Auctiva ready for the next cheapo listing day.
Does anyone know when the next cheap listing day will be please?
Also, is Turbolister better/worse or just different from Auctiva...any thoughts?
I lie awake at night now wondering what else I have that is surplus to requirements and might sell.I'd quite like to start on clothes but wonder if it's worth it?
It's great to know I'm not alone in my efforts.....0 -
Jw1096, I hope you didn't think I was implying you were wrong not to back up your stuff more than once. If it isn't treasured stuff, you're quite right not to put in the effort/expense - I know I wouldn't!
Not at all! I wouldnt be heartbroken if I lost the lot, but many other people would be so if there is anything precious - definately backup the backups!
Not much done today (at work - again) but ive got Saturday off which is pleasing, I have a list as long as my arm to do this weekend but am looking forward to it a great deal. Im also treating myself to a new sofa (sofabed actually - one bed flats are terrible when you want to have guests!) this weekend, I feel I deserve the reward!
Aside from that, I need to find a cleaner (I know its lazy - I simply cant get time off work at the moment though!) as I desperately need a one off all day clean for someone to do the blinds etc, and need a window cleaner (first floor flat - id rather pay than break my own neck!). I also need to find some way of washing the carpets effectively when I can get a day off...
Im knackered thinking about it actually! I think I might have an early night and go to bed
