Well spent two whole hours at hospital appt yesterday so didn't get to list half the stuff ! Spent another 2 hours there today so still haven't finished lol! Also fell in the attic on wednesday right onto my pregnant tummy and ended up with my legs dangling out of the roof hatch - be warned declutterring is a dangerous business lol!
Did manage to part with about 20 of my books for charity shop yesterday, that was hard but i have decided if they won't all fit neatly on the shelves then they have to go sigh...hubby gotrid of his old tapes and records but i'm afraid i'm not ready to part with the records yet(though i don't have a player) as i got rid of all my tapes and now regret it- esp my Nick Kamen one - remember him?(Levi launderette jeans advert).
MissyG i always relist if it doesn't sell and then if it still doesn't sell then the charity shop gets it.
Good luck all you ebayers!grocery challenge jan 17 £ / 350.000 -
I listed a few things last night on Ebay and have 1 bid already
so a move in the right direction!
Tomorrow is the bedroom, clothing I am going to sell/charity/throw that i no longer wear! I am going to be brutal too0 -
Dobs - glad you're OK - please take care with that loft climbing! I'm old enough to remember Nick Kamen0

Who's nick kamen? Dobs- do be careful! Got rid of 1 bag of clothes today loads of tins and all of my glass recycling.
Masses left to go. It feels good letting it go. I'm going to sort my clothes this weekend. I want to get rid of the fireplace outside our house tomorrow. It would be nice if we could get rid of all the rubbish from the front as there's not much.

Thanks guys have had a mini break from decluttering for now! Looked on ebay and have 7 watchers already just for my sons 2nd hand shoes - can't believe it as i always chuck them out usually when he goes up a size - won't any longer!
Missyg am glad i'm not the only one to admit to remembering N Kamen!
Kaz you are obviously alot younger than me if you remember Nick Kamen lol
Going to cut all the recipes i want out of my food mags hopefully tomorrow and put them in a scrapbook that way i can get rid of a pile of them.grocery challenge jan 17 £ / 350.000 -
I have the weekends off from decluttering (too much else going on), but I got a bit more done last week - had a few boxes worth picked up by freecyclers, and a few more ready to go, took a couple of bags of baby stuff to the charity shop, and have a bundle ready to sell (not worth eBay listing, but perfectly car-bootable).
The kitchen is my task next week. Seeing as I just had a new crockery set delivered to replace the chipped and cracked one we currently have, I thought I'd take the opportunity to have a shuffle around and clear some stuff out.
BTW - For kaz - and anyone who wants a reminder

Ooo I am decluttering too, and thank you for the Levi's ad reminder
I am mostly going to sell everything on E bay and I am going to sell it all for 99p cos frankly I am sick of having all this cr8p everywhere! so the main object is getting rid not making money.
so now I will go read more of this thread

Good plan Buffy, I've started most of my auctions at £0.99 cos quite honestly £1 a piece is better than giving it away!
So excited, bids are at almost £30 already for my stuff! Woooo! Even if I get no more, I will be happy with that, but there are a few more watchers so fingers crossed!
Revisited the kitchen for another sort out today, I decided the only way to do it was to remove EVERYTHING from the cupboards, give it all a good clean and organise things nicely. There is so much space now I can get rid of an entire overhead unit (2x cupboards) on one side which will be brill, and very money saving when I buy my new kitchen in the future!
Re-did my shopping inventory while I was at it which should be a useful exercise for grocery buying too
All in all a super productive day! Hope everyone else is OK x0 -
So quiet here, is everyone busy decluttering?
Had a stationery sort out today, my son is getting rid of a HUGE lot of pens, pencils etc (hopefully we can find a kids group or childminder to have these). I didn't get rid of much but my stationery stash was tiny already0 -
I eventually got 120 things listed on ebay.. 8 have bids so far which covers my listing fees plus 10p lol. 39 have watchers.. 2 have 15 and 17 watchers respectively.. an old pair of DM's and a shelf unit next sent me by mistake.. I was charged for them!.. I could have sent them back but think I can get more for them on ebay than I can save by sending them back!
I also have boxes and boxes that I need to sort through and relist as appropriate!! and I am certain some can go to charity shop/school/nursery/recycle
My house has once again devolved into some kind of junk-jungle I am really struggling to keep my head on straight with this and everything else I have going on.. and hubby should be in any minute and he can supervise a cleaning frenzy.. I have 7 of the children home so they can all help too.. it is their mess after all.. I was out most of yesterday so they have been ignored and left to trash the house.. by hubby.. hence he gets to help too!
I've filled a bag to recycle.. a binbag of rubbish and a bucket full for the composter.. it is never ending I swear it breeds twice as fast as I can throw it out!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
