Sorry I didnt know how to reply to each person in same post - LOL
Just read them back, make him sound like a nightmare, which of course he is, but he has his good points too.
It is a holiday here this weekend so all bakery deliveries were done for yesterday, today he is out helping builder put the new roof on the garage, which means we are one day closer to paradise.
65 on eaby finishing today and tuesday so thats a little bit more goners. The outside of house is crazy with garage contents all over yard but it wont stop raining long enough to get at it!
Thanks so much for all the great advice - it really helps to read that others find it frustrating to - DH could happily live in a hovel and thinks I need to 'chill out' which of course I will when my house looks similiar to a home and not a dumping ground!!LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

dont dispair RMC my DH used to do this. Hes now -almost- given it up, after keeping stuff and not being able to use it and eventually not being able to actually get into the shed as things fell out when the door was opened. he took 20 bags of rubbish to thetip from the shed the other week and we havent finished de-cluttering it yet. must have a dozen hammers and other tools, if onl we could find them . all he does is goes and buys another when needed. there have been rows....................
OMG only that I live in Ireland I would swear we were married to the same man and he was leading a double life!
Every row in our house starts re the state of place..........
I once counted 17 hammers!!!!!!LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

Well, after a fairly good start to the week (but only because mum came to take me in hand, lol), I have flagged again - done nothing bar the normal washing up, laundry etc for the last two days. I've got to do some major work over the next few days though - the Red Cross are delivering a 'new improved' whistles and bells bed on Monday so that hubby can finally be discharged from hospital.
They collected the old bed a couple of months ago, and the space very quickly got filled with all sorts of 'stuff' - you know the sort - you have no idea where it's come from, or where it should go - you don't even remember putting it there, but suddenly it's taken over the space. Well, now I need to work out what to do with it.
Most of it should be going into the garage in the short term - unfortunately the space there is being occupied by stuff that was supposed to have been picked up by a freecycler at the start of the week - they've messed me about, I can't get rid any other way in time to have any effect on the bed space issue - so I'm stuck - which is probably why I'm procrastinating about attacking it in the first place.
I'm living in one of those puzzles where you push the squares around a board to make an image - but someone's filled in my blank space - argh!!DFW Nerd no. 884 - Proud to [strike]be dealing with[/strike] have dealt with my debts0 -

I seem to spend my life looking for the blank space, lol - it just seems the best analogy
I can sympathise with your predicament - I suppose I am lucky in that while hubby is messy, he doesn't hoard. Our problems mostly come from, over the past few years, having downsized houses by the equivalent of two rooms, then unexpectedly gaining a fifth body (baby - lol), plus various other smaller factors (health, finances -all the usual) that have affected life - and we just haven't kept up with the changes.DFW Nerd no. 884 - Proud to [strike]be dealing with[/strike] have dealt with my debts0 -
earthmother - think I've been spending too much time looking into a black space.............lol Nothing done today........well all week really but OH wanted some chilli plants to replace ours that got eaten - ex foster girls sister has planted more than she needs so in will come a load of herbs and chillis...........out will go as many plastic pots as we can find (bound to be loads scattered around) ..............still waiting for OH to dispose of old teles and books and plates still waiting to go to the charity shop !!!
I'll get there...........just seems to be taking a long time with nothing being done................our own fault but I can;t carry the stuff to the charity shop and I can;'t get OH motivated.............Mary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !
