Continuing rants about BH (Bl@@dy Husband) which really do impact on the ability to declutter!!
This weekend we (my sister, her OH , my brother and us) went to my parents house (they are away for the weekend) and built a shed and tidied the garden. OH was director of ops and the rest of us worked to his direction!!
He did NO clearing up - he is great at making stuff but the rest of us finished off the job, cut grass, weeded flower beds etc etc, in order words we did the stuff that makes the job look complete.
I learned a lot!!
And then the ultimate......we got home, smelt strong garlic smell in the kitchen, he lifted some cloves and said they were sweating and needed to go to the bin - so he opened the front door and went to toss them into the garden. I screamed - take them to the f'ing bin - all of 25 yards from the door. He replied 'chill out they are biodegradable' so the lesson I should learn from this is that I should be grateful I dont have a compost heap for a garden!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek:
So help me God, I have to find a way to get all the stuff out of this house because I know it is ridiculous to try and get him to put stuff away where it belongs and not to leave everything at his !!!. Furthermore I know that if I dont get rid of the !!!! he never will!

Hi All, how is everyone?
Pigpen, regarding your challenge. I managed 3 bags into the bin (includes recycling) and 1 bag to charity (which is being collected tomorrow, can I still count this?).
Still got loads more I could get rid of but need to have an ebay frenzy (lots of bras to get rid off now my size has changed!)CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0 -
Everything that was pending to leave has now gone and ex has said if there is anything else I want to get rid of then can I let him know as he might take it off my hands
Already earmarked a couple of things that were bought for "us" which I'm not keen on keeping, mainly by his family anyway :rotfl: Will have to see
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Well, I was away in Berlin for the weekend, great weekend away - but my decluttering has suffered as a result.
I have sold a book on greenmetropolis and have given three items away on freecycle today. Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!
