Yesterday I used some gift and luncheon vouchers off my shopping that I found whilst tidying - only a few bits of paper but everything helps!
We've been busy filling recycling and rubbish bins and need to get all the cardboard in the garage to the tip now - might try after work.
Need to get old desks and bookcase up on small ads at work and some uni t shirts too - might as well try those if not they'll go in clothes bank
Then someone on gumtree was after books and has replied asking for a list - I've got some that have been on amazon/GM for a couple of years and I'd really like rid of them so need to do that list.
2 things finishing on ebay tonight and both have bids so hopefully they'll pay and I'll be 2 suits down too!Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

Just in from work so nothing done here today so far. However, OH is working til 8pm so might do some furtive sorting and slinging between now and then
. Having to go undercover as he's questioning 'why are we giving all this stuff away instead of trying to sell it?'. I tried explaining that the aim is to de-clutter - pronto. We're still waiting for him to act on some stuff he promised he'd advertise and sell ages ago . I'm trying to get him to see it as our way of making donations to charity (most stuff goes to charity shops) and ridding ourself of the stuff that's cluttering our home - and my head! Wish me luck

Well, not so much de-cluttering as re-organising............I've made a start on re-sotrting photo albums..........started with one of one son......counted photos I'd got and I'd only got 56 ! Two new albums I'd bought for doing this were 100 minimum............so I'm putting this particular son in with his dad as both are no longer with us and they can have an album all there own.
Slight problem..........the photos keep sliding out of the little sleeves........other than cutting sort of postcard sized pieces of card and sticking the photos on them I can't think of another way of securing them. So, thats yet another thing to put on my 'to do' list.............lol
Out...........old photo album and several old photos too hideous to want to keep:rotfl:Mary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Well it's been quite a productive day.
Out: Bag of clothes to Oxfam including an M&S top which means I got my voucher. I don't insist upon a falling at my feet thank you for my donation but it would be nice to have it acknowledged. Maybe I'm just being funny cos it's the first thing I've actually given a bag of clothes to a charity shop. Usually I'm buying stuff from them
Also out are the computer base units, a laser printer and box of PC odds and s0ds. Lovely chap came to fetch them and he offered to pop something through the door as himself and the chap found they had a common interest so that's sweetened my Freecycle experience over last week's dealings.
We still have 4 monitors and 2 keyboards to ditch as well as those TVs, still plotting about those, so I've got a bit to shift yet. An added advantage of Freecycling is that I get the CHAOS flap so I was tidying the front room like mad and filled another half a bin bag. I shall to offer more stuff now so I feel like I've got to tidy up for the people coming to collect.
In: Couple of cheap magazines from the market, some cheap jars of salsa & packets of crisps from the market, suntan lotion and 2 packets of seeds for an empty toilet we're planting up in the garden. I suggested lu-pinsbut himself has gone for scented stocks and poppies. No Crocs as I had intended. The new shop opened in town today but they didn't have my size in the ones I wanted.
