  • Hello everyone.

Can I make a few observations about the behaviour of some of the people on this thread as it flies in the face of everything MSE. Maybe it is acceptable for Tesco to be regarded as fair game but what about the " trouts" who work there. What an awful way to describe people. These are somebody's mothers, daughters and sons. Quite rightly they should show a degree of loyalty to the company that pays their wages. What about the young Saturday worker who you target for multiple coupon hits who gets a bollocking at the end of his shift for maybe taking coupons he should not have done but feels under pressure to do so by someone who is maybe more articulate or forceful than he is.
Do you ever feel guilty about the queues standing behind you as you argue over a DTD and the manager is called. The office worker who has to leave her stuff and go as she only has 30mins for her lunch break or the mum with the crying baby. You will argue that customer service tills should be better staffed but why? Not just to look after YOU surely. Don't even get me on to returned food items!

You cannot surely be short sighted enough to think that your comments are isolated in a bubble. There are thousands of people reading your comments and it won't be long before tesco ditches DTD, JTD and tightens up on coupon acceptance. This means that you will have spoilt things for the vast majority who try to work within the spirit of the law and not the letter of the law. Most people have a few coupons in their purse and wallet and are happy with this. Why do some of you have to be so greedy. Do you NEED cupboards full of batteries and Wrights flour and DVD's and well, where do I stop.....

Please try not to be greedy or unkind to people. Most people are just trying to get by.
    Hope this makes you think.

Just a few points from the way I see things

I only call someone a trout if they are rude to me and lie to me, I too am someones mother/daughter so do I deserve to be lied to? Yes they should show loyalty to their workplace, but to deny a DTD when someone is overcharged is not being loyal to their company as they are ignoring company rules,
As for the queues if people were not overcharged then they wouldn't have to go to CS and "cause a queue" or should folk just pay the overcharge with a smile?
While you are right in saying lots more people read this thread, also lots don't and have been doing a lot worse, I for one never coupon abuse, yes I use them but within the t&c of the coupon.
Next time I am in T's I will be sure to ask everyone if they are an office worker on their lunch break before I hand over a coupon :rotfl:
Anyone can cuddle but only the Welsh can cwtch :)

i dont often get a DTD but i think t's are fair game because of the GAME they play. quite often they put the price of something up so they can put it on offer, like b1g1f. so if they try and con us with their offers and play around with their prices then i will go for DTD. also what about the BIG PRICE DROP where loads of items were increased in price in the run up to it, so they can then reduce it and call it a DROP.
I am also against calling them trouts, i think faggot face would be more apt.

Just been scanning the offers that end today - quite a few - but T.com not updated yet.

Have my eye on the Cook Italian pasta - BTHP
    Pataks - dropped to £1

Also need some sauces/mayo - lot of offers ending there too.

    Good morning elite!

Still no lady and the tramp for me!

Looking forward to watching the marathon this morning, have to take a break whilst dd1 goes to ballet, terribly selfish of a 3yo doing ballet when there's athletics to watch eh :p

Is anyone else's stores getting a refit?
One of mine is and in another the security barriers have been removed?! Silly move IMO!

    Happy Sunday!!
