Thanks, now i know that i will ignore the cowardly troll...

hi, please don't let him/her rattle you. Peeps arrive at MSE for a whole host of reasons and through different routes, but usually to seek help, guidance and advice. Even allowing for the benefit of doubt (always a good thing with newbies), it would be an extremely rare thing for a genuine new user to sign up and have something like that as their first post, and this one appears to be particularly comfortable in MSE speak.

MSE faqs - "A troll is someone who deliberately joins the forum to cause dispute. It may be someone who already posts on the forum under a long-standing username or someone completely new. "

Difference of opinion is irrelevant - that is no problem. It is intent that counts.

Just got to interject here folks, from the rules:

Remember please be nice to all Moneysavers. That’s the forum motto. Remember the prime aim is to help provide info and resources. If you don’t like someone, their situation, their question or feel they’re intruding on ‘your board’ then please bite the bullet and think of the bigger issue...

Everybody is entitled to their opinion and can voice that opinion. Just because they do it doesn't make them a troll.

Don't let this thread descend into arguments, please. Thanks.

never get rattled but wanted to swear more than HC. there is nothing i hate more than uneducated, unintelligent narrow minded idiots. Plus to tell me about people's live when i'm just about to complete a degree in social science is a farce.

will continue with my OU project that more constructive than the debating with a troll

    Morning
Hugs for all those who were up early with children. My two get up at 6am for school Mon-Fri and at weekend are rarely up before lunch which means it's hard to plan anything.
Thank you for all the giggles I've had this morning reading back over last night a lovely way to start a miserable wet Sunday:)
Welcome back Calmspirit. French Knickers I hope you feel better today.
QPR I was reading the Old Style board and people have posted quite alot of recipes that might be suitable for you.
Hugs to everyone who wants/needs them.
Lala family enjoy your lunch NannyLala is a superstar.
Hope everyone has a great day.

    Hello everyone.

Can I make a few observations about the behaviour of some of the people on this thread as it flies in the face of everything MSE. Maybe it is acceptable for Tesco to be regarded as fair game but what about the " trouts" who work there. What an awful way to describe people. These are somebody's mothers, daughters and sons. Quite rightly they should show a degree of loyalty to the company that pays their wages. What about the young Saturday worker who you target for multiple coupon hits who gets a bollocking at the end of his shift for maybe taking coupons he should not have done but feels under pressure to do so by someone who is maybe more articulate or forceful than he is.
Do you ever feel guilty about the queues standing behind you as you argue over a DTD and the manager is called. The office worker who has to leave her stuff and go as she only has 30mins for her lunch break or the mum with the crying baby. You will argue that customer service tills should be better staffed but why? Not just to look after YOU surely. Don't even get me on to returned food items!

You cannot surely be short sighted enough to think that your comments are isolated in a bubble. There are thousands of people reading your comments and it won't be long before tesco ditches DTD, JTD and tightens up on coupon acceptance. This means that you will have spoilt things for the vast majority who try to work within the spirit of the law and not the letter of the law. Most people have a few coupons in their purse and wallet and are happy with this. Why do some of you have to be so greedy. Do you NEED cupboards full of batteries and Wrights flour and DVD's and well, where do I stop.....

Please try not to be greedy or unkind to people. Most people are just trying to get by.
    Hope this makes you think.

Your post is a bit unfair. Many people struggles to make ends meet and need to find little ways of doing this. All credit to couponers. If i didnt work full time, then I`d do the same.

  • No I'm no friend of tesco. Like most of you have probably seen for yourselves, they have wiped out our high street.

I know that the majority of the people on this thread are good decent people. That is not my point. Nor was it my intention to make some of you so angry.

I just think that the word " trout" is offensive. That is my opinion.

I also feel that falling over yourself for batteries/DVD's and chasing high DTD refunds will spoil it for the majority.

    That's all.
