Thanks for the reminder, managed to get one so most sensible people must still be in bed.
I'm teetotal so this will be going to my Great Aunt, she's 92 and appreciates a good whiskey. I hope she likes it, I've just to let her know to expect it
Thanks for reminding me too, just got one:T:TBeware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -
Just to mention Elite, 'earthday' probably isn't a newbie but in fact a forum regular who doean't want to post their opinions under their usual name. *yawn*
I was thinking the same and trying to work out who it could be.
Well done earthday as your post has got people going and it makes me smile how upset some on here get .Relax and enjoy all and give earthday some love:rotfl:0 -
I also feel that falling over yourself for batteries/DVD's and chasing high DTD refunds will spoil it for the majority.
Quite agree re the batteries. Just how many batteries do some peeps need?!
I was lucky to find one of the battery chargers last year, no batteries needed in this houseFar more enviromentally friendly

Hello everyone.
Can I make a few observations about the behaviour of some of the people on this thread as it flies in the face of everything MSE. We're very MSE on here
Maybe it is acceptable for Tesco to be regarded as fair game but what about the " trouts" who work there. What an awful way to describe people.:rotfl::rotfl:
These are somebody's mothers, daughters and sons. Quite rightly they should show a degree of loyalty to the company that pays their wages.
I don't like being trouted
What about the young Saturday worker who you target for multiple coupon hits who gets a bollocking at the end of his shift for maybe taking coupons he should not have done but feels under pressure to do so by someone who is maybe more articulate or forceful than he is. Nothing wrong with hading over stacks of coupons. It's T's policy to accept if you've bought the product.
Do you ever feel guilty about the queues standing behind you as you argue over a DTD and the manager is called. No but the SA should.
The office worker who has to leave her stuff and go as she only has 30mins for her lunch break try using the SS tills or the mum with the crying baby.give it some penny chocs
You will argue that customer service tills should be better staffed but why? Not just to look after YOU surely. I am a customer
Don't even get me on to returned food items! If I don't want it, it's off or out of date I will return it.
You cannot surely be short sighted enough to think that your comments are isolated in a bubble. There are thousands of people reading your comments lurkers :rotfl:
and it won't be long before tesco ditches DTD,their policy JTD their policy and tightens up on coupon acceptance their policy. This means that you will have spoilt things for the vast majority lurkerswho try to work within the spirit of the law their policy and not the letter of the law their policy. Most people have a few coupons in their purse and wallet and are happy with this. They wanna get printing then.
Why do some of you have to be so greedy. savvy.
Do you NEED cupboards full of batteries and Wrights flour and DVD's I couldn't for the life of me find any yesterday and well, where do I stop.....bet you wish you hadn't started :rotfl:
Please try not to be greedy or unkind to people. If I get trouted, look out! Most people are just trying to get by. Exactly
Hope this makes you think.Yes must check me flour stashAKA; Mad, MM, MM5, Madicles  ©

Earthday:
How can "trout" be offensive? We only ever use it on this forum between ourselves, and it is simply a word that we use to define a person/subject that we all know about. It is one word where many dozen more may be required to explain ourselves more clearly.
As for falling over ourselves to get batteries/dvds and dtds, it hasn't spoilt it yet in several years. It is T's policy, not ours, and when we have got dtd then the majority of the time the sel if removed. It is cheaper for T's to do this than to employ someone in every store to check all the sels.
AND a lot of the time we see a DTD opportunity and pass it on to friends and other forum members as we do not need it.
If you are a forum member, or if you are not, you obviously do not quite understand this forum.
I have to admit I suspect you might be a Tesco CSA!
And that is the last word I will say to you. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Morning all
