Evening all, my mum just got her PPI reclaim money into her bank account today - over £5,000 :) I'm so pleased for her. She's also just put in for one on her CC and is hoping for a few grand there too!
I think that's why she took me to Sainsbobs tonight where we spotted own brand kettles and 4 slice toasters for £14.99 each for blue or white and £19.99 for red ones. Available on-line too at these prices

    http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/sol/shop/appliances/kettles_and_coffee_makers/list.html?sort=default&fnav=4294966041

she's using the money to pay off a few bills and will still have most of it left so she's going to buy some new furniture she really needs.

    Well good night all

Well done Spiralling Down mum. glad you got back what is rightfully yours. Hope you are ok SD?

Thanks for the tip, SS123.

Not tried the T's pizzas, but I'm a big fan of the A's version of the same thing, especially the meat feast, (or whatever it's called).

None of the T's up here do the create your own pizza. However, Sainsburys do a cracking one!;)

Have heard that S are good but if you ever come across a T's that do it try it out. Choice of Barbecue, tomato and garlic butter base. Some will do garlic butter with either of the other 2 bases. LOADS of cheese and then either 4 or 6 toppings of your choice and more cheese for good measure.

I have to cut them in half to make sure they are cooked through. They cannot be making any money on these, they have to be a loss leader. Scrummy though.:)

If you're planning on keeping it for 2 or 3 years then I would get it for peace of mind.

I'll probably keep it until the iPad 8/9 comes out knowing me! :rotfl:

Oh, don't! I see this all the time and it drives Mrs OB nuts when I start to rant and rave about it (and I do). She just says, "Ignore it, pretend you never saw it."

I reply, "I can't! Look! They've written "For sale! A pair of shoe's." Then I proceed to rant some more. I'm such a pedant! :D

I can look past it when it's one person as that's fair enough, and everyone has their achiles heel but it's when I see it on official stuff, that's when I want to punch someone :rotfl:

Thanks for linking the post :T

Awww that's terrible news of your friend's cat :( Poor thing :( What a kind thing to do though, out it out of it's misery :A Awww she must be distraught though. I love animals :A

And also sorry to hear your friend was feeling so ill following the meal :( But still, it sounds like you had a fab night on the whole :T:j

Hmmm yeah my night out was a complete wash out. It's the first time in forever I actually felt excited about going out. Normally I'm looking for a excuse to stay at home and eat chocolate instead :( I get terribly nervous and self concious and feel disgusting! But yesterday I just thought 'lets be avin ya!' and I just wanted to forget about all the rubbish and just live vicariously for once! I won't go into detail but far far far too much drink was involved (not me I add!) resulting in the most anger inducing night I've ever had. Finally got in at 3:45am and had to have a cup of tea to calm myself down and then a shower to warm myself up. Couldn't sleep so was up at 9, mind whirring away at what happened! Atleast everyone ended up home safely :A

I love animals too, cats in particular! I saw a half-grown grey tabby cat earlier, like a kitten facially etc but bigger, and I literally drove past going "awww little cutie awwwwwwwww baby awwwwwwwww!" with tears in my eyes for about 5 minutes. I'm so soppy :o

I was once watching ER at an important scene where the ER nurse is walking along with a guy who's going slowly blind and he's just been given a yellow lab puppy which he's holding in his arms as they walk. The dog was asleep and so cute, I spent ages making various "awwwwwww ickle babba awwwwwwww how sweeeeeett awwww I love him awwwwwwww" noises that I realised I'd missed all the dialogue :rotfl:

I'm sorry your evening didn't go well, if you want to chat about it PM me xxx

    G'day everyone.

**drags soap box out the cupboard**

I've had a couple of PM's recently about people shops and how god they were. Turns out first one was copying coupons and using multiples of the same coupon and the second person was reproducing JTD vouchers over and over again.

I know this thread is a brilliant support network to us all and we all appreciate the thread and also the plaudits when we have a great haul or shop, but please, please, please can we all bear in mind that we must stay the right side of the law with what we do. I don't want to end up baking a cake with a file in it! :)

Not having a go at anyone and I've no intention of naming anyone, just a gentle reminder.

:(:eek::(:eek: Well said FK, I wholeheartedly agree :A

Thanks lovely I must respond to your PM, sorry :A:o:oxx

Night night all, I didn't get far with catching up and I'm out all day tomorrow shopping (and returning ;):p)....then whoopsying ;):j Although it's a shame the supermarkets aren't closing early like Xmas Eve. I'm sure they have done in the past. I always find this is a good thing for whoopsies and being able to predict the timing of reductions easier. Shall give it a go though :D

I forgot to say earlier, no T's for me today. Had some fab whoospies in A's, sandwiches for 6p, turkey breast steaks 20p (dated tomorrow :D) and sweet/sour chicken, 1kg Kelloggs crunchy nut for £1.63, 710g jar Haywards pickled onions for 50p, large pack Asda stuffing for 25p. Topped it up with 2 packs of Nescafe Gold Blend (150g refill = £3 (N/A in T's)) Not as good as the Decaf deal but my Dad won't drink that! and I also bought a hair styler thingy to take it over £40 to spend my £5 off £40. Think I've messed it up though as I don't think I'll get another with this shop! :o:( Anyway using the cond spend and 2 small wombled APG's I will have got roughly £10 worth (inc £4 of whoopsies)for £1.80:) (after returning hair styler)

Only had 2 wombled receipts to submit yesterday so was chuffed with 97p and £1.27 :T

Also I don't know if it's been noted but the APG improvement of being able to input your receipt 3 hrs after shopping was shortlived :( It's back to 6am the following day :(

Great to hear that 3dogs and Alan had a lovely day :Axx
