Celebrate, I remember this. In fact, I am still receiving counselling... :rotfl:

I think that Barclays are opening tomorrow for the first time on a Good Friday. I'm sure I read this on a news site today.

Lloyds bank is also open tomorrow for the first time.

just had a major embarrassment at my local Ts tonight, I lost my purse and only discovered it gone when I went to pay
Two lovely SAs helped me search the store (an extra!), I checked my car and rang my mum to see if it had fallen out at home but no it hadn't!!!
I'm so angry with myself I've lost my bank cards (all now cancelled), my loyalty cards (also reported as lost and new ones coming out), luckily I'd only a few pence in there but I've lost a few of my wombled £5 off MOCs but still have 1 for this week and one for next week thank goodness :).
I'll have to run to my bank tomorrow with my passport to lift some cash to tide me over until the new card comes out but I must admit to already missing my switch card, couldn't even get fuel for the car :(

Things can only get better :rotfl: If I didn't laugh I'd cry :D

Hate to say this but sure banks are shut tomorrow - Good Friday:eek::eek::eek:

Been quiet on the glitch front for quite a while no? Wonder if that Mark Tipple/Tickle/Tapple/whatever his name was has succeeded in ruining the glitches for us?

And on that sad note, good night all!

This thread is brilliant! :) open 24/7 :D

Always pop in if you're feeling down, with stories of trouts, dtd and a bit of extreme wombling:D it will make you smile :):)

Plus this thread is hugely important to many people (including me) and is a community spirit :T everybody is welcome to join :):)

    and me :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j

So sorry to hear about you losing your purse SpiralingDown - when I started reading your post I just thought it was the normal 'ooops I seem to have forgot my purse, I'll just have to leave the shopping and come back later' ;);) but then quickly realised that you had actually lost it  With everything else, I know that you can't wait for 12th April ............. or perhaps the 13th April, when it is all finished and you wake up in your new home :D:D

Anyway, we got up to watch the cricket this morning, Alan sooner than me though ;), and were very pleased to see England doing well in the cricket - very well done KP :j :j

Then I went into Wisbech to the CAB to see the Macmillan Welfare Advisor there. My appointment was 11am but she had squeezed me in really and I had to wait about 20 mins to see her but when I got in there, whooooooosh ................... she got everything done so quickly :D DLA form filled in - automatic entitled to Full Rate Care Component under Special Rules for Terminal Cancer; Blue Badge form completed and should have that through in 2 working days - no photo or signature required on this fast track system under Special Rules; she part completed the form for Carers Allowance but I have to get Alan to sign that and then hold onto it until DLA processed - won't get any money but Underlying Entitlement opens the door to other things ;); gave me form to apply for grant from Macmillan - we have to say what we need the money for, up to £250 grant possible. I'd forgotten to take in details of Alan's medication so I rang that in to the office when I got home. I have to get in touch with her again when the DLA comes through and then see her again to do the rest :j

From there I went to H & B to get some Manuka Honey and Akai Berry Capsules as I found these when looking for 'superfood' and anything that may possibly help with cancer - after all, it can't do any harm but as they say 'every little helps' ;) Expensive  but he's worth it :o

I then popped into the hairdressers for a dry cut and feel more like me again :j :j I have a short spikey hairstyle but it had grown quite long and, being thick, the weight was pulling it down and it wouldn't stand up any more like this  I then got my passport style photos taken, now I was 'me' again, as I have been putting off getting them done, and I needed them to renew the photo on my driving license. While I am on the subject, they charge £20 to renew the photo on your driving license, so add in the £5.90 it cost me to get them done, x 2 as Alan's was due too. I think that is very expensive - after all, I didn't look that much different in my old photo to now ;);) Well, I did have spikey blonde hair then too, just a few less wrinkles I guess :p

Alan was starting to panic when I got home, as I had been out for about 3 hours. He panics when I am out these days, but he was happy enough after I was home again and went for a nap soon after

Later, Alan decided he wanted fish & chips for tea again today and 'subtlely' mentioned that there were no trifles in the fridge ;) so I drove to Asda and got 2 family trifles and a few other bits, then walked round the corner to the chippy owned by our friend from slimming class. I saw her daughter whispering to one of the men the other side of the fryers and when I ordered, she came to say that her Mum had said they weren't to charge me for Alan's fish & chips - the guy, who I think must be our friend's hubbie, said that she had told him that I had to have them free. She had said to me last week, when I told her about the reduced prognosis, to tell Alan that he could have as many fish & chip suppers he wants, but I didn't realise that she meant free  That is so nice of her and I couldn't thank them enough :o:o :j :j

People are being so nice and generous to us :o:o It is so heartwarming and restores your faith in human nature sometimes, but we both find it hard in another way, as we are givers, not generally takers, always go out of our way to help other people when they need it. I can't really express how much it has helped us deal with Alan's cancer, having such good friends - real life and virtual ;);)

I love you lot of rascals :rotfl: :rotfl:
