Ours came today, the quality is a bit shady :/ but they're ok for every day use.
I got that £2 paid in full invoice too. Ive not checked what they've taken out of my bank yet.. if anything

Got mine today, they really are ugly :rotfl:

Says £2 paid in full, pretty sure nothing has come out of my bank yet for them.

Mine arrived today, and as I don't have any other Laguiole cutlery I can't really compare the qualtiy. Though I will say I'm pleased with them for the price, whether that be £4.99 or £2 I don't mind.

The customer service number on my invoice is 0871 351 1000

Mine arrived yesterday, the invoice also said "£2.00 paid in full". To be honest they are a lot nicer and better quality than I was expecting. They won't last forever but as we eat steak once in a blue moon and don't have a dishwasher, they should last quite a few years I would think.

Still can't see that they've charged my card though.

    same here...received today:j

I had mine cancelled on the 8th then I received them today and my card was charged yesterday.

Surely they can't do that, cancel something then 3 weeks later send it anyway ?

    Surely they can't do that

They shouldn't do it as you may have bought knives elsewhere when you heard of that cancellation, but clearly in the real world mistakes happen.

If you are happy with what you have then I'd forget it.
If you have the cancellation email and it's inconvenient e.g. you've already bought knives elsewhere then ask them for a refund and make the knives available for collection (it's not your responsibility to return them if it's their mistake). To be honest given the cost of the item it's not worth them collecting or having them returned.
If you get no joy you can also dispute the transaction with your credit/debit card company and they can "chargeback" the amount.
The cancellation email will be helpful plus the card company will have wanted you to pursue Readers Digest first.

So yes you have recourse, but if you are happy with the product then it's up to you whether it's worth disputing.

I've had two send (instead of one) and I'm certainly not paying for the second set, but that's a slightly different scenario.

So up to you if you want to dispute but you have grounds to providing you still have that email, because you bough replacements on advice of the email didn't you?

After the initial order confirmation I haven't received any communication from them whatsoever, the payment was refunded, then the order turned up yesterday and my card was charged again on the 26th.

I have just emailed to complain as I do not want the items now.

I got mine yesterday too, for the money ( invoice is £2.00) they are fine. Have we paid that or the advertised £4.99 though?

My invoice said 2 pounds but 4.99 came out of the bank.
  • Sorry not been back with updates , received mine a few days ago , charged £4.99 as expected

Not the weightiest knives but I like them for the price! :D

If you want to return yours you just ring them up & a courier comes round to collect them at their cost!! xx
