Hi smilealot I went on thursday and entered all the comps for 42 inch plasma tv's + lots more - it really is addictive. Was on it until after midnight (oh the shame - and still only 500 words into my 1500 word assignment -eek!) but would be nice to win something! If I win the lottery (jackpot tonight) I'll pay all the debts on the DMP mutual support club off - how cool would that be (sigh - sure sign of a dreamer)!I stopped smoking 25th June 2007STILL Never complacent but confidentMy debt is GOING DOWN!!!!0

hi all :hello:
Not got any updates here - my OH is doing my head in. Mistakenly went food shopping with him today and he kept adding things to the shopping - spend 38 in Sainsburys as had £8 when spend £40 token which was good, but my god! It's expensive compared to pretty much everywhere else I shop! Very few offers as well. Then went to Lidl to get the charmin 24 rolls for 5.38ish and again OH kept adding stuff. Came to £41. Managed to get £20 off him ('his' money earnt doing odd jobs for his sister) for beer he bought and extra charmin pack for his mum, but still - £59!!!! And this doesn't include nappies, wipes or baby milk as have got a 750 points token for £30 on baby stuff for Tesco so will go there. Anyway, OH said he would drop me off and go shopping for mothers day at which point I nearly fainted. I already felt sick at how much we'd spent so told him not to bother! No point in spending money on things I don't need. Would rather he just takes me and kids out to do some thing as a family (even if it is soft play as weather is awful so think zoo out of the question really). Rant over!
Yellowmonkey - it might be worth starting your own thread and getting the advice of the whole board as well as us. I haven't gt my debt free head on at the mo so will come back later and advise!

Sorry to hear about the expensive day. I hate grocery shopping now, it's just one big massive guilt trip!

Yellowmonkey well done in getting it all down in writing. Have a look also at the moneysaving old style section on this site. They are very good for helping you cut down on food costs etc.
Gemmzie, that's great news. :j :T
Smilealot and IDAAS good luck with the comping. It is very addictive but it can take a while before you see results. This month I've won 4 DVDs and 2 x £5 cheques. Better than a poke in the eye with a big stick. There's a comping section on here but I never get as far as looking at it.
Sea, men are an absolute pain in supermarkets.0 -
