Just spotted your post amani, don't get too down it takes ages for some to accept. 7 months will Lloyds Bank account! But they paid for it in the long run!

I just sent there payments that I had offered each month whether they accepted or not. Not sure how that works with a DMP company but I am sure others here will know.

Chopping it off could be the MSE way! Never mind hubby will have to do all the ironing again!

Must find another load of washing to put on ...

It gets you down waiting for companies to accept you in your mind have sussed out you want to pay them off and you just need to accept them so you can get on with it! If it goes on too long you can moan at them that they are dragging there feet to charge you more and maybe get some refunded back.
  • Hi All - haven't been on for a while, beeing really busy with work/family.

Anyway, so much for Egg being nicey nicey! They sent out default notices very early on, along with a leaflet about helpful they are and who to contact if you were having a problem ther was CCS & Payplan. They've been accepting our payments and then today out of the blue we received a letter from Moorcroft DCA's pre-court division to send us notice of intended litigation before legal proceedings in the county court!

Is this the norm? I feel sick to the pit of my stomach..... AGAIN! I know MBNA are going to refer to a DCA - are most DCA's okay with Payplan pro-rata payments when they know you're in a DMP?

Warrior have gone down the CCJ route we're just waiting for the judegment which could be any day now (I now hate my postie - poor man).

Off to watch Living in the Sun and depress myself totally! Catch up later!

am expecting the same with mint as you with egg.please dont dwell on it if you can.most are really good and keep accepting the payments and some sell on and some go for ccjs.at least the charges will stop and youll know how much you owe.a default is much the same as a ccj in my op,cos both !!!!!! up your credit rating, just that you must always pay the ccj and never miss.
hope you win loads of dosh soon so you can tell them where to stick their egg!!!
    much love,xx

  • Hello All hope you don't mind me joining in, I have made my second payment to payplan and have emailed them through the just a bank site last week but no one has got back to me. My problem is my 2 banks they have not frozen interest or charges and have just worked out that £800 has been applied inthe last 3 months!!! I have successfull reclaimed charges from them before is it worth doing again or will it pee them off even more, any ideas?

I keep forwardingthe letters to payplan but none of the balances are updated and they seem a bit off now all these charges have been applied.

Any ideas what to do, should I write to the companies myself? I don't mind but I thought that is what payplan were for?

    Greetings.

TOTALLYFEDUP. Bad news about EGG. They are 2 of my creditors and i get the impression that they will sell the debt on to a DCA.

amani sorry to hear about your bad news. Hope it gets sorted soon.

rayday. Sorry to hear about the hand. Hope it gets better soon.

  • itsalldrivingmemad - If you are DMP your creditors don't have to freeze interest or charges (correct me if I'm wrong but that's my understanding of a DMP), if you're on an IVA they do. Thre are letters you can print off on Payplan which are done for you to post off - I've done that with Halifax and will bombard them with the ruddy things till they agree to waive charges and interest.

ilovegreatdanes - thanks for that. Payplan have been in touch and said they are sending out our financial statement to Moorcroft and we can ring them to advise them of this and that they are usually okay (lets hope so eh)

Feel a wee bit better, I know MBNA will be doing the same shortly (transferring to DCA) - personally I'll just be glad when everything's sorted and in place and we can just make payments and forget about it (ha ha)!

I'm sure I'll look back in 10 years time and laugh but for the moment there are times when it just seems to swamp you and drag you down. Never mind eh, there are worse things that could be happening.

Best wishes to you all. TFU
