hi fastnet,
think it may be a scare tactic.anyway, wouldnt dwell on it til it happens.if it goes to court cccs told me that the judges usually accept your offer if you have someone like cccs or payplan doing the dmp cos they know your serious about the debt.the home charge only matters if you are going to sell in the near future or theres not much equity.if you have equity you would pay your debts if you sold up anyway.so if you dont plan to move for a while your house value is rising anyway, and they cant make you sell your home even if they put a charge on it.
have a look on the nationdebtline website.very good.have termplate letters and loads of info fordmps and ivas and court and bankruptcy.
main thing is not to worry in your condition.just write on your letter that no fone calls-all correspondence in writing to keep for your ref when you sent your dmp letter to them.just say you cant pay them what you havent got and give them your dmp ref and say goodbye and hang up.
try to give you the best info i can but im not a legal eagle so its all my op and not gospel.iykwim.

Hi everyone - haven't been on since sunday so a lot of catching up to do. Hi to all the newbies.
Not been a great week here. after having to find £250 for the repairs to dh's car he then decided to have a bonfire on Wednesday to get rid of a pile of rubbish, broken fencing etc we had piled up in the garden. Started off well then the wind got up and blew some embers over the hedge into next doors garden and managed to melt holes the size of 2p coins in their kids trampoline. Being the material it is when any significant weight is put on it, the holes start to run. So it looks like we are going to have to try and find money to replace that too. It happens in 3's usually so just dreading to think what is going to happen next. And unfortunately we are not lucky - everything DOES happen in 3's for us.
Off to read the other messages and hopefully catch up with some more of you later.

Thanks ilovegreatdanes, good advice. As the day has gone on and I have thought about it more I feel a lot calmer and pragmatic again about it all now. There is little more that I can do so we will just wait and see what happens now. As you say if we sell and we have equity in the house they will their money anyway, my main worry is Northern Rock and anything affecting or jeopardising our home. Thanks for your words of advice have been reading this thread on and off for a while, glad I finally made a post.0

Hey guys, so far been quite quiet. No phone calls from anyone! Had a letter from Tesco CC with late charges etc (£1,600). Gave them a call and after 20 mins on the phone and speaking to 3 different people they agreed to Dmp (£22.96pm) and to waver recent charges :j . Next (£112) have accepted (£5.79pm), 2 club books (£265) accepted (£11.60pm). HFC Bank loans (£6000) who are part of HSBC have accepted for 6 months. Not sure what happens after this time, The only other amount was a £450 overdraft which i had to pay off because wages was paid in by work just after alliance & Leicester closed the account even though i had sent work an account change form 1.5 weeks before, so bear this in mind before switching banks if you work for a big company!
HSBC Loan (1,200) and CC (£1,500) will accept if i take a loan for the total amount (with another £600 interest added on!) Has anyone else been offered this? Do you send them a letter to say you can’t pay but will continue to pay CCCS? Perhaps this is standard process for banks; the payment made by the CCCS last month was not rejected by them! I know this has been brought up before, I just can’t find the page.
P.S if you hadn’t realized, I’m quite new to this forum lark so might not be doing everything correctly yet.

All I know quickly caus I am off to bed is that you never agree to a loan with a DMP how can you afford the payments? If you are using a company for your DMP just keep sending the letters to them and eventually they will either accept or pass it on to a debt collecting agency who usually accept.
Sorry its a quickie but my eyes are shutting!0 -

Hi
Welcome fastnet. Read with interst your post regarding EGG. They are my biggest creditor and so far have been very understanding. From their letters however i do believe they will pass to a DCA. Have to wait and see who i get.
ankle. Seems that things are going pretty well for you. Good luck.
scottishmummy Bad news about the bonfire. I have a trampoline in the garden and i don't think i will be having a bonfire whilst it is still this windy.
ilgd Much the same for me. I was not behind in any payments but just realised i could not continue with the payments,as literally, i had no spare money to eat.
No post for me not even a letter from Payplan about recieving payment. Have to wait until Tuesday now
Anyway been a busy boy today. Washed kitchen floor and car. Cottage pie on for tea and washing on and ready to hang out. Think i have earnt a few brownie points so i can sit and watch the football COME ON.
Speak later
