    hi all,
    just catching up.
rayday........huge congrats on your lloyds victory.perhaps craftingqueen should try the sam,e thing with lloyds.they are being really awful to her at the mo.good to hear from you again:D

Sometimes these companies need a smack on the erm bottom!

Lloyds even sent out a letter supposedly from a solicitor but remarkably when I complained they had only given me 24 hours to respond to a letter it managed to come back!

So craftingqueen if you get a grey coloured paper letter, don't worry and moan at them they try the lot!

Its been a busy week fellow yorkshire lass - expensive one too! But I am applying for another job so fingers crossed!

Hope everyone else has had a better week!

    hi newlywed,
dont think i missed a payment before sending the cccs letter.tbh i dont think i thought it throu before i started the cccs dmp cos i wasnt behind with any of the creditors(except the old dmp ones who wanted to keep upping the payments). had just got the 5 grand loan from mint and was going to pay off some of the others with it(good intentions but before you know theres something else to spend it on.blah, blah, etc!)the repayments were lower and i thought i had it all sussed(LOL).
mint cc payment was only £8 month so i could have kept it off the dmp but as i had to default on the mint loan, thought they would tell the mint cc and would be probs cos i could pay one not the other.
sorry to waffle but its a long story.
so.......when i told cccs they said i had to put all the debts down and not take any more credit.(have to sign the thingy with them.)
so i suppose in hindsight i could have missed more payments to everyone before telling them.i wasnt even in arrears with most of them but then OH changed job from 4 weekly pay to same date monthly pay so we lost a pay day(i know we didnt really but cos he paid me housekeeping every 4 weeks once a year i would catch with the payments, mortgage, etc)at diff times so i never seemed in trouble.
then one day was doing the bills and realised the above and thought ****, i cant afford to live from this month onwards if i pay all the bills.
so after i paniced and thought of ending it all(not joking!!).i foned cccs as recommended on this site.the rest is history.
there!!!...a brief history of my life.
back to your question.......paid mint correct pay then sent token payment around month after and they left it about i or 2 months.they have sent default.put downmy limit so they can add the overlimit fee and the late pay fee and the intwerest and have to wait for the termination letter then 14 days after they will stop the charges.maybe june.
    sorry for the essay.
    regards,xx

    Hello

First time posting on here so hopefully I am doing this right!:o My DH and I started our DMP in March this year and so far it has not been too bad apart from Halifax (who are refusing the offer as of last month, waiting to see what happens this month - fingers crossed) and Egg. Egg are causing me the biggest stress and worry at the moment and I wondered if anyone has had a similiar experience and could offer any advice.

Basically out of 8 creditors they are the largest, the loan is in my name only and for approx. £18k. They served a default notice which was fine and then promptly sold the debt to a debt collection agency (DLC). DLC have since been in touch via letter and said that although they are accepting the payments (of course!) they would not accept the offer from Payplan and would be passing my case onto the litigation department to apply for a CCJ and for the loan to be secured against our house. This was the only way they said they could guarantee their client (Egg) the full amount back.

I explained that I was 8 months pregnant with a 17 month old daughter, that we were taking control of the situation we found ourselves in, we were on a DMP with Payplan and that they could see from our financial statement that we were paying the most we could afford and was there no other way than securing the loan against our property. No was the answer.

Has anybody else had this happen to them on their DMP? Can they do this? Has anyone else gone through this? My worry (one of many) is that we have a unsecured loan with our mortgage which is a Northern Rock Together mortgage. If they are able to secure thsi loan agianst the house ( can they even do that?) then will will NR know about it and will affect our mortgage?

Payplan say that all that DLC can do is apply for a CCJ the court will decide what we can pay and then we pay it and thats it. They say that they are just trying to scare me by saying things like securing against the house etc. Well it has worked.

Sorry hope this all makes sense I know it is a bit long, but I have been so upset about it today and so worried as I did not (perhaps naively) expect to have CCJ's and court proceedings when we entered into this DMP. All the other creditors have been ok so far.

Thanks. Good to be prepared. Mint are my biggest debt as I have a loan and huge CC bill with them. greatdanes, glad you didn't give up and that you're still here - I'm sure all your family and friends would have been devastated to have lost you.

Just had the CCCS pack with the slip to make my first payment - only trouble is I'm limited how much cash I can take out each day and I didn't think of that. Have to get it out in 3 lots. :o

Had another phone call from GE money saying I'm in arrears. Yes. I wrote you to and told you on the phone about my DMP I'm arranging with CCCS and was told the phone calls will stop for 28 days. So they then checked the file and yes it was noted and they noted it again but it apparently won't stop them ringing and writing to me, which will incur a charge. Thanks!! Ho hum. OH said just ignore 0870 numbers from now on and don't bother answering. ;)

First direct rang me so I have to ring them back too - no payment is due to them yet but maybe they have heard from CCCS. It's all happening. Hope I can cope.

Splashed out on fish and chips for tea - first time in months! Feel a bit guilty now though. :o

    hi Fastnet. Welcome.

Sorry I can't help with your query, not a home owner. I'm sure someone else will help shortly. I think neith was having similar problems.
