The reason for me not talking to Halifax is its not in my name, so they wont speak to me, DH is at the moment on 12hr shifts 9am-9pm. We have 10 creditors and only one is in my name, I phone my creditor after reading one of posts LONLEY and they excepted my DMP. But the other 9 I cant deal with, any suggestions???????

Get OH to ring them at 8 am? ;) Just kidding. Not much you can do unless you can call them and say he isn't in between those hours and they will have to phone another time?

Goes for the bus at 7.50am gets home at 9.45pm so not much scope for calling them. I have written to the halifax and asked them to stop charges and interest. sent it with a second DMP notice as they did not reply to the first(sent it recorded again). apart from them which is our biggest creditor, and sainsburys bank who we have not heard anything from. we have had letters from all the rest saying they would pass us on to a DCA.

Fax them a letter from your DH with him giving you permission to act on his behalf. That's the way Payplan and CCS talk to your creditors. I'll see if I can find the link...hang on...

Amani, are you meant to send the notification of DMP by recorded then? I've got mine to send next week - not sure I'll have enough cash for that!!! :(

newlywed if you are sending token payments by cheque with the notice, you can send them first class as when they cash the cheques you will know they have received the DMP notice.

Then are you fair minded, look at all sides of an argument, and fairly good looking?
