I dont think the plan has been agreed yet but it was just nice to see something positive even if it was an agreed balance left to pay off. As for when the creditors get in touch regarding agreement I dont know as I have only just started this DMP lark. I know there is not a column for when it is agreed just one for when balances are agreed. Still it was nice to have some progress.

Oh, OK. Yes, funnily enough, they are rather quick to confirm the balances. Just take their time when deciding to accept the plans (probably so they can carry on piling up extortionate interest!!) So did you make your first payment at the start of the month?

Have you got any nice summer dresses to sell ;) You'll also need to be a
    5ft 1 classic pear-shaped midget!!

Sorry I'm not a 5 ft 1 midget but my mum is, and my sister is too :rotfl:

Have you tried the charity shops? I always get my holiday clothes there or ebay (used to when I went on holidays).

Newlywed, there are lots of ways to do a holiday on the cheap. For our anniversary this year, I took my my husband away to a lovely place near the Cotswold called the Shaven Crown. It cost £80 for the night, which included breakfast. It is one of the oldest hotels in England and it was so beautiful and romantic - and the nicest thing was it was off the beaten track. Do u have a car? Can your budget stretch that far? If not, there were lots of B&Bs in the area that looked just as nice and were cheaper.

I think that's my downfall actually. In every other way I've been so good since starting my DMP but when it comes to clothes, it's a different story. I can't get this French Connection white, ruffled mini-dress out of my head. Unfortunately it costs £130!!!!

I have a car just now. But its MOT and tax run out this month and dunno if I can afford to get any work done on the car (it is 18 years old and rusty, let alone anything else). Was contemplating booking a couple of nights in a London hotel but that seems to be £300+ (and then you have to add on eating out, train fare etc). So I just don't know

    £130
That's the food allowance for one person for a whole month!!! That's nearly 2 weeks rent money!! Go to H&M and find something else - MUCH cheaper!! :p

I know! I feel so guilty for even thinking about it. Being on this forum has really opened my eyes to how wasteful I was before. My mum always used to tell me that when she first came to UK, her and my dad used to live on next to nothing (they were trainee nurses) and I used to laugh about it. But now I can really empathise.

Just got in from hanging the washing out. Is there a record for the amount of clothes that you can do in one wash as my OH seems to be trying to break it:rolleyes: .Took me ages.
