    Hi all

Sea - Watch Egg for still charging interest - they are with us

They are defaulting me next week - when I rang about this, they said it was in order to stop the interest, but that they would be accepting the DMP. I have my reservations about this, but they assured me it was to ensure I didn't use the card (and a thorough threat too of course!!).

    Thanks for the heads up.

    Hi all!

Seems to be a bit of a mixed bag today for folk...As I'm always harping on about - keep on smiling!

Mixed few days for me too (although nothing too worrying I think) -

Had a letter from Student Loans saying that there's some problem with the name I use on my DMP which doesn't correspond with the Loan account details - basically, I used to use my first name for things, but as it's criminally unhelpful in the UK, I tend to use my UK name nowadays (i.e.Joe!). So I had to send off a letter to them, with proof of address to sort that out.

CCCS have just sent me a letter to give them a bell regarding this as well, but I'm presuming it'll all tie together fine.

As I think I mentioned yesterday, there's a puzzling thing regarding my Egg Loan, whereby Egg are saying to CCCS that the account number doesn't match their records and can't accept payment...Hmm. It is the right number! I've got letters to prove it. I think what it is, is that for certain payments into the account (CHAPS...whatever the heck that is) there's another account and sort number you have to use. So, I emailed all this over to CCCS, along with a scan of the Egg letter, so hopefully they can sort it out.

So all in all, I don't think there's much to worry about.

I hope you all are coping nicely too!

winkus - honestly, don't worry too much about it. There are always glitches on this very wobbly road we're on, but you've just gotta keep positive.

If I can, I'll be there to help in anyway I can...

Just don't ask me for any money ;)

  • Morning all
The df board is deserted (only 58 viewing) but here I am enjoying the relative peace and quiet (Noddy and dd permitting!!) before the rest of the family get up and pandemonium resumes!! Well I took the plunge yesterday and sent off the bank charges letter to HSBC, was going to take it in by hand, but chickened out and sent it recorded delivery. The charges amount to a whopping £2125.50 and with the o/d (currently on dmp) standing at £1580 ish if I'm successful it will repay that and leave some over towards the rest. But omg I'm so nervous, please don't let this upset the applecart - things were running so smoothly. Its just too much money to write off and it contributed hugely to my debt increasing in the past!!
Got my first statement from CCCS yesterday - lovely to see the payments distributed.
To those of you needing a hug :grouphug: :grouphug:
Hope everyone has a good day and pleasant weekend. Take care and love to you all.

Well done for claiming! I'm still waiting for my statements.

Quiet here my wwonderful wonderful chldren made up for their appalling behavious all of yesterday by playing and letting me have an extra hour in bed :) The bottle of wine last night didn't help!

Hope all are havng a good day. No debt stuff in the post, just my daughters nursery deciding they're going to charge me for the 'free' dance lessons she's been having since september - £122!! They can think again. I am NOT going to pay as they said it was free!! So angry with them anyway - the financial side is a shambles, nothing is clear at all. Can't wiat til summer when she'll be out of there!

Well, no post today (good thing!), but I relented and spent 35p on some file dividers, and sorted out all my recent letters, statements and CCCS info.

For the first time in years, it's all in one lovely place!

Now, I do have to own up and say I did spent another 95p on a pack of Rolo cookies from Tescos, but surely I'm allowed that!!! :D
