    Thanks for the welcome Ex.

No pets, last dog died in November :( Can't get another - work all day. Have sent the forms off so can't claim for any now anyway.

Right now, should be sending off the forms to my creditors - tho can't do the bank now until I'm at my overdraft limit in case they kick off. Got a Co-op account last year & am switching my pay into it from next month. Don't like the Electron card - not a lot of places take it, esp online.

Not too worried about nights out for now as have a part time job (football steward) that's outside the DMP as it's casual. So will be using some of that. Trouble is, it stops beginning of May till Aug/Sept. And my summer part time job (cricket scorer) pays very poorly - tho gives me a day out.

Ah well, always knew I was living now, paying later. Have got to the paying later stage...
    Welcome to Vivck.

Have you any pets? If not you could still claim a couple on the DMP. I've read of a few people doing that. Also you will find that some budgets you'll not use all the money from eg you may not spend all the food money so can use it on a night out or whatever.

    Hi All,
Sorry for yet another post but I keep thinking of new things! About to send my creditor's letters off but don't know what to put in the 'reason'. Basically, it's because I spend too much - tho looking round here I can't see what on (she says, typing on the laptop while the pc lurks in the corner...). So I've put 'relationship breakdown' - will that do?
I think I have finally come to the realisation that the spending must stop - and it'll help having no credit cards so think I should be okay...

Thanks to everyone on here for all the help, ideas, support...

    Hi

    VivCk
I am in a similar situation to you we have just sent our forms off. In the reason we just wrote 'over committed with credit' and 'credit used for living expenses' which was basically the truth for us!! Hope that helps

Thanks everyone for kind comments and welcome

I switched electricity and gas from British Gas to Scottish Power saved myself quite an amount each month BUT just got my final electricity bill from British Gas £134.00 (aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh) DIDNT BUDGET FOR THAT!!!!

    Hi VivCk...welcome!

In my reason for debt, I just went with the truth...'overcommitment on credit'. It's the truth, wrapped up with vague ideas about what I actually spent all the money on (in reality - not much worth remembering).

    EDIT: Beaten by hopeful!

:j Some good news have just checked my new bank account and my wages are there means I can get on at letting the dreaded LLOyds TSb know my plan to leave my overdraft and loan with them (DMP) !! not looking forward to that. Im sure they will be awful!!

    Well done you!

Barclays certainly don't like the fact that I'm on a DMP - As far as I can see, they're going to give the debt to a debt collection agency.

Fine with me, if it stops all the interest!

Well, I'm yet to be troubled by them, but I'm going to make damn sure that as soon as they call I'll speak to them and get them in touch with CCCS - I'm going to be as 'helpful' as humanely possible in order for them to understand that I'm not in a position to give ANYONE anything more.

Nip them in the bud, as it were!

Managed to convince OH to open a savings account yesterday as all his tax savings are in my account and I need to move them before the DMP. So last night he applied for an online savings account :D

Still waiting to hear about my current account application.

    Congrats newlywed!

Just checked out my CCCS info online - they've received my first payment, which is a lovely relief. Money can now be sent out! Posting ot the DD instructions for future payments today, so things are going in the right direction!
