    Hi all :hello:

Well, my lovely children slept in until 8.30 this morning and I am v happy :) I don't work on a Tuesday but have all this Ebaying to do AND the inspection at work to prepare for so will be busy, as well as storytime and DD's dance lesson and fruit shopping. Not too muc really compared to some!

Thanks for all your messages - at least I've not actually debted anymore and the figures will eventually go down. i am thinking of ringing up some creditors and seeing what's happening. If anyone has Student Loans debt -grrrr. I got ANOTHER collections letter today and I've blummin' paid it off! Rang up - thye apologised, some stupid eejit's fault who put all my credit in one of the four accounts (?????). How annoying. All sorted now though. They were ringing a lot at my mum's and it was their fault!!

Valley's Girl - good going - you might not get many letters - I hope they all accept asap!

Lonely - so glad you sorted things with hubby. Re the curry sauce - does it work out much lower in calories if you use curry paste and can you use tiny amounts of it - does this still give a nice flavour? And hah! No I'm not 31, I'm a sprightly (sp?) 28 yr old :D I may well have been there but only once or twice. I don't remember much about the nights out in Leeds....:o When I go out now I just tend to go to places my friends want to go to whether it be somewhere like Heaven and Hell or dodgy clubs in Chapeltown. I grew up in a commune n Chapeltown but we moved over to Beeston when i was about 5.

Scottishmummy- I don't think I've ever seen a mainstream minister or vicar with an earring! Glad it all went as well as it could. Hugs to you.

Joek - Glad you've had a good start to the day :)

Teecee- thanks. And well done on finishing that coursework!

daysieblue - what a lovely thought - I would have another baby (if me and OH get over the problems we got at the mo!!), get my dd into horse riding lessons pronto as she's shown a complete talent for it (I don't think it's proud parent thinking either! she's not so graceful at her dance!!:rotfl: ), continue part time work wihtout pressur to do more hours, and most of all, take the kids to wonderful places around the world, just as my mum did (although she did it on a shoestring budget, so maybe this is still possible!).

Well, I'm going to now ring 2 creditors, so the washing up an dtidy the kitchen before I post any more - well, I'll do that at 11am!

    Hi Sea,

That is sprightly! I'm 30 and I feel old!

I would say that the paste would contain a lot less calories than the sauces, as they are mostly made out of crushed herbs and spices. As for tinned tomatoes, there are next to no calaries in that, as far as I know. So I'd say it was a pretty healthy choice, especially if you were using lean meat or fish.

I only went out once in Chaple Town and I'm surprised I lived to tell the tale. Back then (late 1990s) there wasn't many places to go out around that area. The dodgiest places I went to were Europa, Poly Bop, Up yer Ronson/Back to Basics and Speed Queen!!!! You must remember some of those from back in the day ;)

Now I must get on with some work too, talk later. x

morning everyone and welcome all the newbies,

I sent my token payments off just over a week ago and noticed that my cheque's hve been cashed. Im doing a DMP with CCCs. Its also just over a week ago I sent my signed agreement back and all the info they asked for. Can anyone tell me when my welcome pack will arrive????????????. I've never had a phone call from them, I did it online. I've called them about things. Is this normal not to have a call from them?????????? like I said its only just over a week since I sent my paperwork back.

    THANKS
  • Well here is an update:

Lloyds 2 OD's and CC - they wont accept my dmp because I am still using the accounts~ 1 account not used since Dec 06, CC used in Jan 06 and my main current account was still getting child ben and Tac credit so I withdrew them.

MBNA say they will accept £63 not £41 which actually I could do.

Black Horse want to kill me and spread my bit in the local town centre I think

    Nationwide...no reply yet

    Capital One....no reply yet

I am beginninng to wonder if a DMP was really worth it. the Payments on the 2 OD's to Lloyds were well above the Interest thay are charing on them too....are they dumb or wot? It would have been easier to have just caried on depositing less into each account.

I am contemplating finding the rope to be honest! its getting to me now!

    Hi Kev

My advice (from listening to the other guys on here) would be to try and open up a basic bank account immediately. That way you won't be using your accounts anymore, and your wages won't get sucked up into the overdraft. Banks are illogical, and they do seem to refuse things without any logic ... I suppose it's because they can, and it's all psychological!

Don't even bother looking for the rope, just post some more :)

Stick with Black Horse. OH had loads of hassle from them when he couldn't afford full payments but then they said they'd stop charging him when he made 3 payments as arranged on time etc. Only then did they stop charging. So they do give in eventually.

    Hi Kev

You could always consider an IVA - or as a last resort Bankrutcy - if the DMP is not working. Surely this is more attractive than the rope ;) But sounds like its early days with your DMP, so give it a bit longer.

When I spoke to Lloyds in Nov THEY suggested I call CCCS and go on a DMP!

how thick is that...and Black Horse.....I was threatened by a 5 year old on the phone from them!
