Been a while since I updated, had a lot going on lately unfortunately I cannot say what on here, but my life has been completely taken over by it all
I am finding it very hard to get any motivation in anything I do.
Just when I don't need it I have job interview on Monday. I was applying for jobs left right and centre towards the beginning of the month and never heard a peep from anyone, then out of the blue I get a call to go in Monday. Could really do without it at the moment, but it is a significant pay increase, and earlier starting times, so I get more of the day to myself. We will see what happens, I'm not hopeful but then I never am.
I have broken the 1K mark in regards to tackling my debts. And as a result I have managed to change my DFD again, it's not showing as 2016 so that is just over 4 years instead of 5 when I first started. If I get this new job it will mean an extra £100 to throw at debt so I will work this out using the snowball calculator later on - hopefully it will motivate me a bit more.
On a positive note I have a friend coming round for wine and pizza tomorrow night, this should perk me up a bit because I darn well need it!
The girls had their school reports given out today, I'm so proud
they both have glowing reports and it shows their school work has not been affected by the upheaval of the ex leaving our lives. I know I should be very thankful but am struggling to gain motivation or be pleased with anything at the moment - everything seems so up in the air. There is too much drama in my life at the moment and this makes me shy away from things. Hopefully things will pick up soon - I feel I am owed a break. 0 -
Sorry things are carp for you. Hope you get the break you need soon and good luck for Monday XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Thanks for reading PLMBL

I have just worked out the extra £100 a month I will throw at debt will shave a whole 13 months of my DFD taking me to November 2015, this means I could be debt free in 3 years and 4 months. :j
I will use this information to motivate me - woohoo something positive for a change.
Onwards and upwards...0 -
Good luck for Monday!FTB:A Saving for my first deposit :A0

Good luck today. Sorry you are feeling so down. You should be so incredibly proud of your girls though. They are a real credit to how balanced you have managed to make their lives at this difficult time in your life.

I think someone up there who really hates me is watching down on me, and sending !!!! my way as soon as I seem to be getting myself sorted. As soon as I start getting going in tackling the debt something else crops up. First it was the broken washing machine, then bailiff visit no 1, I've just had bailiff visit no 2 AT 9PM THIS EVENING - and for a different debt all togather :mad::mad:
Im about at the stage where I couldnt give a flying fudge anymore, this so called debt is back from August 2006 where I was a SAHM and ex DH was working and managing (or so I thought all of the bills)
I could scream, I've had about enough of it all. I don't know what to do with regards to the bailiff, he put a levy on my car - but as the car isn't mine I dont know where he stands. I hate my ex for leaving me with all of this !!!!! to deal with - I have so much going on at the moment I don't know if I can take it anymore

Plus I had the interview from hell today - even they didn't cut me a break and were really tough on me. Gaps in my cv from when I wasn't working and looking after my DD's were frowned upon by this really snotty HR girl, who looked like she had just walked out of school. And the guy interviewing me kept looking at my boobs!!
Sorry for ranting, but I really am so fed up with everything at the moment. I feel so alone.0 -
Hi Becks, sorry you are having such a carppy time at the moment. Sending hugs :grouphug: Life has a habit of throwing all the bad things at you at the same time. but I suppose the positive is that once they are gone they're gone.
Is the ex taking responsibility for any of these debts? re: bailiffs check out other threads on this site because there are certain things they can and cant do.... If the debt is over 6 years old I think they are no longer legally allowed to chase the debt. There's loads of template letters on here that you can send to them to stop them hassling you. I don't want to quote anything because I don't 100% know the full legality of all this but I def know they will try anything to scare you even if legally they don't have a leg to stand on.
Easier said than done, I know but try to stay positive, you're doing really well so far
Feel free to rant away here, I know it helps me.

Ditto everything Pencakes has said.
Check out your signature, you have cleared your Barclaycard, you are on your way towards clearing your mum's one, you have moved your debt free date by 10 months for the better and you have £90 in your £2 savings!!! :T ALL positives!
You are bringing up two little girls on your own, I know from experience that one is difficult enough. Just look at their school reports, that says it all that you are a great mum! :j
You can and will get through this. It takes time but just keep going. I'm sure your debt free date will get even closer. You will look back then and be amazed at just how far you have come. It seems almost impossible now but please believe me, it is definitely not and you will definitely get there. Keep fighting and do it for your girls.
