Argh, can't sleep have eaten too much chocolate!
Thank you for your comments Beanielou, yes I am taking on the Barclaycard first. It has the highest APR at 29.9% so I was thinking best to get rid of this first.0 -
Have just spent the last 2 hours listing on ebay. To make the most of the free listing weekend. I have listed 18 items and already have 4 separate watchers, I'm hoping to put any profits made towards the barclaycard.
Had another NSD day today, spent the day at mums where we had a lovely roast, and I took home left overs for tea. Very MS.
I'm off out shopping tomorrow, have a wedding to go to on Saturday and need some new shoes for DD2 as she appears to have had a growth spurt and nothing fits her anymore
Have only budgeted £10 so am hoping I don't go over this, anything left over I will put towards Barclaycard. 0 -
Well I spent more than I budgeted for on Monday  ended up buying 2 pairs of shoes so spent £20.10. I did however get 10% off one of the pairs as there was a mark and I asked the sales assistant if I could have some money off - hence a saving of 90p :rotfl: but every penny counts.
Also spent £4.40 in Marks & Spencer, I brought some hot cross buns for my mum and my nan and some spring onions. I don't mind this however as my mum and my nan do so much for me I would be lost without them.
I took the girls swimming after work today went to our usual pool with free tokens so only had to pay for myself. They were having building works done and the temperature of the pool was a lot lower than usual - it was bloody freezing!!! So much so that I couldn't face going in. Well I was damned if I was going to pay for it so (hark at me) I complained again.
Only to end up having the manager out and him offering me a free swim once the pool maintenance is over.
I don't know if its this website but the old me would have just sucked it up and written it off as a loss. So thanks to good ol' :money: I have saved 90p on a pair of shoes and got myself another swim. :T Am very proud of myself!
Oh and my d/d did not bounce after all and I still have some money left over.I will wait until Friday just to see me through the week and whatever is left is going to Barclaycard! (I promise!)0 -

Well just got back in from a lovely day out. Went to my sister's best friends wedding. Was a beautiful day, she looked stunning. Its always nice to see someone starting out their married life, I felt really honoured to be there.
But I have spent far too much today. Thought I'd have a little flutter on the grand national, was very MS and went through Quidco. Ladbrookes had £30 cash back on a £20 bet, so I asked my sister if she wanted to bet and placed my £20 worth of bets, only to discover that my ex had already used my account and the cashback was declined - gutted, so £20 down and none of the horses came in
£20 spent at the wedding (gift), £1 on a drink. £9.99 spent on a bday present for one of DD's friends. £65 spent on gas. £53 spent at Tescos - a very expensive day.
On a more positive note I have made over £10 in ebay so far out of the 18 things I have listed, one of my items has 16 watchers so I'm hoping for good things here. All profits are going to Barclaycard.
I'm also pledging at least 4 NSD throughout the rest of the week. Thanks to the OS board I have planned meals and pack lunches so shouldn't have to spend anything. I have £25 left in my purse and I would really like to see this last the week.0 -
Well the £25 lasted all of 2 days... I have £3 left :rotfl: But the £22 I have spent has been on postage for Ebay. As it stands I have made around £40, just waiting for the last few people to pay and then I will transfer it to my bank and pay it off Barclaycard.
I am grateful for the £40 but feel that Ebay is a bit pants at the moment!!! I had a large bundle of Fisher Price Little People for sale, over 30 pieces totalling approx. £40. I had 16 watchers on it and it went for £1.24  the buyer is picking it up on Wednesday. To say I am gutted is an understatement - I really don't know where I went wrong on that one.
Girls are back to school tomorrow so normality will resume. Pack lunches at 6.15am. I'm just about to start ironing the uniform.
Think I might get an early night, I've had too many late ones recently and it is starting to catch up on me.
PS. Day 1 of not smoking as well...so far so good :T0 -
Well done on not smoking.

I am going to take inspiration from another diary I have read on here and list the positives of the day.
1) my second NSD of the month
2) have received and paid in a refund from British Gas for £132
3) all my ebayers have paid, so am transfering £60 to pay Barclaycard
4) still not smoking (although am really feeling it today)
But with the highs, come the lows. Had a lovely visit from a bailiff this afternoon, it was for unpaid council tax. A bill my ex kindly helped run up and that my lovely mum cleared off with her credit card.
So I showed him letter from the Council saying we had paid, and he then told me it was my responsibility to let the council know. He was threatening and quite rude to me, he gave me a letter with a charge for £24.50 on I told him I was not going to pay it and he told me to take it up with the council  Resulting in a 20 minute phone call to the council, only for them to tell me they notified the bailiffs the same day that I paid on the 12th March - well over a month ago
It really shook me up, coupled with the fact that I've not had a fag for nearly 48hours and left me feeling so upset and emotional.
I've also had an charge on my credit card, taking me back over my limit. I don't get any money until Saturday so will be fighting another battle with that one.
And the girls breakfast club fees are due, I'm still waiting for benefit payments to go through. Its been 3 weeks since I gave them all of the information and I've heard nothing.
Wow started out so positive, and now I'm sitting here sobbing into the keyboard. Please let things get better.0 -
Well the money from paypal has cleared and gone straight to Barclaycard, so I have updated my signature. I really want this cleared by the end of the year and have joined pay one debt of in 2012 challenge, hoping that will keep me motivated.
Another NSD today that is 2 this week, which takes my total for the month so far to 3. Have nothing planned for tomorrow so may well add another.
Got DD's birthday party coming up, she wants to go bowling so will have to start thinking about that. I can't tell her she isn't allowed one as my other DD had one for her Birthday back in October, this was when I was working fulltime and the ex DH was around. I'm not too good at hosting and organising parties as I tend to be a little shy and never know what to say :rotfl: Hey ho will have to grow up a bit!
Still not smoking, so thats day 4 now
I have't seen any physical effects as yet but I saved around £21.
Thank goodness it is Friday tomorrow, I'm looking forward to the weekend. I have nothing planned so will probably just blitz the house and hunt out some more things to ebay.0
