Paid another £100 off Barclaycard and mowed the lawn today. (my lawn is huge - so a big achievement there! :T) Also made another £8 from ebay. Have £38 sitting in my paypal so will transfer that over to go towards my first payment to my mum's credit card.

She has a much lower rate than me, so I am not as rushed to clear this one off. But as soon as I clear my Barclaycard her card is next on my list.

Used the snowball calculator today to check on my progress, and with all the overpayments I have made I have taken 5 months off my Debt free date :j This has really spured me on.

I've decided to give ebay a rest for a while - only ended up making £21 from about 9 items as I seriously under-charged on the postage. Will have to think up some more ways of making extra cash each month. I may talk my sister into doing a carboot with me. I want Barclaycard gone by the end of July at the very latest.

Not having a good few days emotionally wise - the ex has come back into our lives and it's wrecking with my head :(

Money wise everything is going well, all bills are paid, and I have money put away for the rent at the end of the month, and I have £50 in savings. :j

I just wish everything would go right for me at the same time.

Keep your chin up, you're doing so well.

Very jealous of those little kitties of yours!
I live in a second floor flat so can't have any at the moment :( but have taken to talking to the neighbour's tortoise shell on my way to work in the morning...

Thank you Meow! :D I don't know what I'd do without the kittens at the moment, they are great for cuddles and are so cute. I'm so glad I got them.

I checked Barclaycard this morning only to discover they had reduced my credit limit and not told me  Luckily due to my recent attack on it I am just about in my credit limit so won't incur any charges. But I'm really cross - not because I need the credit - but because I wasn't notified.

Got a trip to the dentist tomorrow, I go private after having an awful experience with the NHS, so that will be another £30+ but I see it as an investment. i don't think you can put a price on your health or teeth!

I'm looking forward to the weeked already, even though it has only been a short week it has felt so long, plus I'm so tired and will use the weekend to relax and rest because if I'm honest I haven't been looking after myself very well.

Made my first payment of £80 to mum's credit card this morning, I can't wait until I start attacking that one - god I love my mum. I really do hope I will be a position to help her out one day. :A

Had a lovely weekend, the weather was glorious and I managed to get quite a bit of gardening done so was pleased there.

Did spend quite a bit over the weekend, spent another £15 in Morrisons with my nan, then spent £3.89 on some strimmer wire and £5 on a nice plant to go in my empty plant pot outside my house. :o

Listed another 5 items on ebay, I'm thinking they are only sitting around the house, so as long as I don't make a loss this time it is better then nothing.

I've also been thinking a great deal over the weekend. I'm really not very happy in my job. I'm working in admin and it is just so dull it is untrue. I keep asking for more work but everywhere is so quite at the moment. So I have made some enquiries into doing some volunteer work at some local schools. I've always wanted to become a teacher but after my degree I fell pregnant with DD1, and then had DD2 not so long after so teaching went to the back of the list and I just got a job to pay the bills.

I'm looking at doing an Distance Learning course, just to get me upto speed, and if all goes well with the volunteering I might just go back to university to train. I have spoken to my mum and she has said she will help out where she can and I think it will do me good to have something positive to focus on.

I have emailed 5 local schools asking if they would take me on as a volunteer so we will just have to wait and see what happens.

I also work it admin and it can be so boring, I'm lucky that I have a promotion/progression on the cards but nothing can move forward until we commence a certain project, it could be weeks or months before we get the go ahead from the client.
Until then I spend my days amusing myself between MSE, OnePoll, surfing the net and my actual job (which doesn't take long most days!).
Volunteer work sounds like a great idea and good luck with the applications!

    Hi Becks

I have just had a quick read through your diary. You are doing really well. I know how hard it is and I only have one DD! It's great that you get some support from your parents. Some support from my parents has helped me a great deal.

Keep going. Some days will be really tough but hard work and determination are key! You will have some great days too.

Thanks for reading GAP, I'm longing for the good days to outweigh the bad days, but I am determined. I want to create a better life for my girls so they are my motivation.

I had a really productive evening last night. I saw a job advertised on the local council website for an administrative assistant at a local school :j

It was only advertised yesterday so I thought I'd fire off my application and get it in early.Usually I leave everything until the last minute, but I just got stuck right in yesterday with fun size bag of minstrels as company :o and completed the whole thing :T I will proof read it again this evening and then send it off. I just hope it is enough.
It is part time, and I know it will be less money than I am on now, but I don't care I really really want it.

I have a few watchers on my ebay items, nothing to get really excited about but I suppose it is better than nothing.

Really need to get back on the healty eating front, I've gone from having no appetite to just wanting to eat right carp! But one thing at a time. I'm no superwoman so once my application is out of the way I will get straight back on the wagon.

The sun is shining so I'm hoping this will improve my mood and I'll have a good (and quick) day at work.
